Aspen Dental - Claremore, OK

"I will NEVER recommend this dentist to anyone! I would give them 0 stars if I could. I was in quite a bit of pain and Aspen was the only local dentist that could get me in quickly, because every other dentist in the area was booked 2-3 weeks out and I could not wait that long. So I made an appointment, had an evaluation, and the problem tooth is one I've had issues with before, so they recommended either a root canal or an extraction. Of course the cheaper option was the extraction so I opted for that and just be done with it. They scheduled me for the following week and their office manager told me it would be under $200 and my insurance would cover it. So I go in for the extraction and surprise the receptionist tells me my insurance will not cover it and I needed to pay them $300. When I questioned why their office manager told me it would be covered, she just shrugged. So their office manager lied that my insurance would cover it and lied about the pricing. Regardless, the tooth needed to be dealt with and I had no choice but to pay it, so we proceed with the appointment. So the hygienist puts the numbing gel in my mouth, then Dr. Warren comes in and begins to inject the anesthetic. Does this 4--5 times and the final time his hand slipped and he stuck the roof of my mouth. It didn't hurt, but I still felt it. Then he injects where its supposed to go, only the hygienist did not apply enough numbing gel, so I did feel it and I just about came out of the chair. He asked if I was okay and I said no that last one was extremely painful and he just said "Oh, well I had to stick you in your gums, so its gonna hurt." Excuse me? That's your response to a patient you just hurt? God forbid you give an apology. I tried not to, but I started crying in the chair and the hygienist just handed me a wadded up paper towel and said "sorry this happens sometimes" I'm sorry what? That what, you don't know how to do your job? I didn't even know what to say. The extraction itself went quickly and was fine, but as soon as the tooth was out Dr. Warren didn't hardly say two words to me and told the hygienist to put gauze in my mouth and wrap things up, then he moved onto the next patient. And he didn't even prescribe me with enough pain meds. I totally understand if a dental practice is busy, but this place is just another chain that runs people through like cattle. It was obvious they don't really care about their patients. I get a lot of anxiety about going to the dentist and this was just about the worst experience I've ever had. I could not get out of there fast enough. This place is a joke."

"Terrible service WOULD NOT recommend them to anyone. I was in excruciating pain not even 5 miles down the road tried to call the office at 4:40 till 515 and no answer and still haven't heard back from after hours. To which I left a message for the doctor to call me at 5:15. I have had teeth pulled before and have never felt anything like this before in my entire life. I ended up having to go to the Emergency Room and get some relief. Terrible customer service all they care about is getting your money and then moving on to the next person......"

"Went in needing a extraction because of pain. They did not pull the tooth but did give me 2 estimates one for 30k and one for 10k, not what I went for at all..However my dental assistant Miranda is top tier and beyond helpful and very sweet, just wish I could say that about the rest of my visit.....2.5 hours later still have sore tooth..."

"The office was clean. The staff was professional, and I didn’t have to wait long, but this is another chain with their new car style sales pitch, where they push a “deep cleaning“ and won’t let you just get out with a normal cleaning even though the hygienist and doctor both said I didn’t need it. The office manager proceeded to tell me I couldn’t get a regular cleaning unless I paid the extra that my insurance won’t cover. Another scam, I won’t be going back."

"Aspen dental is great! I called for a general check up and cleaning. They got me in on the same day. When I said I might have a slightly sore tooth, the office called and had me come in sooner. They did everything and got me a temporary crown for the bad tooth all in less than 3 hours. The staff and doctors were very pleasant and professional."
