"My wife and I recently worked with Kelly as our attorney to go up against my wife's ex husband in a child custody case, and while we found him to be very knowledgeable, efficient, and emotionally sound, we were disappointed with the outcome and the way the case was handled. Kelly and his team were diligent in understanding our situation, but we felt blindsided the day before mediation when Kelly informed us that he would not be representing us if the case went to litigation in fear of the opposing attorney. He even went as far to request that we not share his reluctance to litigate against the opposing legal counsel as a “personal favor”, which displayed a complete lack of professionalism. However, the actions of our own counsel left us feeling isolated going into mediation knowing he would not be moving forward with our case because it wasn’t “worth the money or time” to go to court against our opposing counsel. During the crucial moment of mediation when we were feeling defeated and our retainer was dwindling, he thought that would be the best time to recommend several skilled attorneys who could take on our opposing counsel and fight for us.
