"I’ve given it a few months to process so I wouldn’t write a reactionary review but I still feel like I was taken advantage of by Raul. I rarely write reviews but felt like others should know what they are dealing with. I have an older car, a teenager crashed into me, my insurance totaled my car. It was only cosmetic damage so I wanted to repair it because this is a great car. Brought it by for a quote, he asked how much insurance was going to pay, I gave a rough estimate but had a $1000 deductible so the payout was much less. It was like pulling teeth with communication, after a couple of weeks I asked when I could drop it off and he told me to drop it off later that week. I showed up at the agreed time and he came and looked at the car and said “bring it by in 10-14 days” and I had already gotten a rental car because I couldn’t go without a car, I asked why that long because we had discussed having it worked on starting that day. He said he didn’t have time to work on it yet and still needed to order parts - not sure what this run around was about since he already evaluated it. I begrudgingly took it home and returned the car to the shop when he said. It then took weeks with radio silence, finally after putting pressure on him he said it would be ready at the end of the week. This is when it took a turn, he said he calculated the value of the car and what my insurance payout should have been and raised the price. He also said he ordered the wrong door to replace (which was for the rear door that I explicitly said I didn’t want replaced because it was just cosmetic molding that had been dented) which I suspect he raised the price to cover his mistaken order and probably resold the replacement door for a profit. He also said he was getting knee replacement surgery soon and I’m wondering if that bill caused him to raise my price. The final total was over $1500 more than the estimate and way over what my insurance payout was. I was desperate at this point because I didn’t have the rental car anymore and needed a working car. I asked for an itemized receipt, he handed me a handwritten “receipt” that was not itemized, just said x amount of hours of work. I probably would have chalked it up to being taken advantage of but then the true scope of the body work was revealed over the coming weeks. The door wasn’t properly attached, when it rained or went through the car wash, water poured through the seal between the door and the car. The paint wasn’t great, I’ve found spots all around where it was missed, the plastic attachments for the fender area were never replaced, etc. Overall not great work, I suspect he felt pressured to get it done and rushed the job. Overall a really bad experience and shady money situation. He only accepts cash, I found that out the hard way when I went to pick up my car and had to scrounge up thousands of dollars of cash in order to get my car back - typically a business like this that refuses any payment other than cash and won’t give an itemized receipt is shady."

"Not only did he do a great job repairing the damage I paid for, but he made other minor repairs at no extra charge. (Replaced some loose clips, fixed front license plate, etc.) He worked around my schedule. Great overall experience, and no more rattles."

"Adding to a previous review: I liked him so much I brought my business back. Raul is still amazing! He worked with me through some tough scheduling and got the car looking amazing again. Thank you! Raul has been great to work with, very personable, and the quality of the job was fantastic. It was very easy to get everything done and I'm very happy with how the car was repaired. I highly recommend for the quality and price!"

"Raul is the worst businessman I've ever worked with. Horrible communication, changes his story every time he talks to you, always has a "sad story" as his excuse for not delivering, forgets literally EVERYTHING, changes his price throughout, blames everyone else for his problems and shortcomings, and truly the most difficult person I've ever worked with. I would NEVER recommend Raul to anyone. There's a lot of body shops out there, do yourself a favor and go to a different one. He accused my wife of lying multiple times, even though we have proof otherwise. Truly despicable. I can't say enough bad things about our experience."
