"I had a screw in one of my tires on Saturday. I went to Sam's Club (where I have a membership). After waiting for quite a while to get somebody at the counter, they went out and looked at my tire. He said it wasn't repairable because it looked like it might (emphasize might) be too close to the wall and I would need to buy another one. But he also said they were too busy today so I would need to come back another day (the next available appointment was Wednesday). I could try a walk-in on Monday, but that was the extent of my options. So I drove it across the street to Discount Tire. They looked at my tire and said they thought they could repair it. They got me right in, gave me an estimated time of completion (which was only 2 minutes off of their actual completion time), and fixed my tire free of charge! You saved me a couple hundred bucks today. Thank you Discount Tire!"
"Typically I’ve had a great experience at this location with my vehicles, but today I am not too happy. A year ago I put an 80,000 mile warranty tire on there and have 20,000 miles on it. Got a flat pick it over to get it repaired, however being so close to the sidewall they wouldn’t fix it. They could prorate the tire. The tire brand new measures at a 10 and it measures at a six right now with one year of life and 20,000 miles. So in the end, I’ve only used 25% of the tire, but almost wore half of the tread, but I should have 75% left. However, their proration would only give me back 30% of the tire, not 75%, but 30%. Explain that math to me?"
"My personal experience was fine. However, while I was there two other customers had issues including the wrong tires being put on without consent and not matching what was ordered and the other having tires installed on different wheels than expected. Check your order carefully. This could be a result of being very busy, but they were fairly dismissive rather than quick to correct the problems"
