"Horrible, degrading, judgemental pharmacist. I’m talking about the older “gentle”man whom treats anyone with a controlled script as a drug addict. It was UNREAL the way he both spoke to me as I advocated for my sister (I’m a nurse and used to also be a pharmacy tech) and the way they spoke to her when they judged her as a “junkie” because of her missing teeth and tattoos. (And no, she doesn’t use meth. Our entire family actually has a genetic enamel disorder that destroys our teeth very very young). She is on an antidepressant and an another med that while is controlled is not an opiate and has very little abuse potential so for them to refuse to fill her prescriptions just because. Was insane, this wasn't even close to being an early fill in fact it was day 33 after she had last picked up a 28 day supply. His “reasoning” was “the last time she picked it up at day 26(remember only a 28 day supply) so if you add from that time we are still early and won’t fill it for another 5 days!” For anyone who can’t math like me sometimes, he was saying that because she received the last script 2 days early (which is very legal and normal in Utah you can actually fill at 80% which would have been day 24 in this scenario and remember it is actually day 26 when she arrives. She literally only filled it because she was going on vacation for 2 weeks and most pharmacy’s won’t accept transfers for controls from out of state for a patient they don’t already know so she would have been SOl) We even offered proof of her plain ticket when they gave trouble the first time upon filling it. But to still say it’s too early for her next fill at day 33 when there is only 28 pills in the script makes no sense. Even using his own logic she technically would have had 2 pills left if she had tried to fill the next refill on day 28 exactly. But no, she waited 5, yes FIVE more days to even try and fill it so ran out as she should have 3 days prior . Taking them exactly as prescribed. This pharmacist still insisted he would fill her antidepressant but not the sleeping medication for another FIVE days. There was absolutely no legal or ethical justification for this. It was pure discrimination and will be reported. I’m asking every patient who has been discriminated against like this to report to who ever you can. We ended up calling her doctor back and she called and transferred it the pharmacy who filled with no issues."

"Used to be great...what happened? I kept going to this pharmacy even after I moved (used to be fast, helpful, friendly), but for the last year or so: -Phone pharmacy system gives a "ready no later than" time--and even going 2+ hours later, the response is always "give us 20 minutes." Usually after having waited in line for 20-30 already. What is the point of the phone system if it is completely inaccurate? -No pre-notification of out of stock prescriptions, until you've waited the 20+ minutes; it's a "here's half of your prescription, the rest will be x days later." I don't know if it's a staffing issue, or what (I know it's hard being understaffed), but you're losing customers."

"Update 5/1/2023: Still refusing to answer the phone. What an absolutely pathetic pharmacy. Edit: If you are having issues with this pharmacy like I have, PLEASE report them to the state board of pharmacy! They are STILL refusing to answer the phone, and it is impossible to figure anything out without going in. DO BETTER, SMITHS! The way this pharmacy runs is absolutely absurd. Lord forbid they EVER answer the phone. Countless times, including yesterday, I've called and they just won't answer, or wait 5 min+ to do so, probably in the hopes that you'll just give up and hang up. I've literally had to call the Smith's store manager 5x to have him go back to the pharmacy and make them pick up the phone because the pharmacy refuses to. A lot of the workers, including one of the pharmacists, are incredibly rude, especially the tech Camille, who harassed me on one occasion when I went to pick up my medication. She then stalked me around the store after her shift with some guy, pointing me out to him and saying "that's her!". Absolutely insane. BEYOND unprofessional. All that the store did when I called them to let them know what had happened was write her up instead of let her go like they 100% should have. Even the store manager admitted to me that they had had issues with her before, and even went as far as to tell me that no other store wanted her, so that's why they hired her. On the same night, the pharmacist who was incredibly rude tried to deny me service because I showed up 2 minutes before close, which I never do, and patronized me to the max for it. Such a joke to even try and deal with this location. Save yourself the time and frustration and go somewhere else. The local Walmart was great and very professional, and told me that they had been having issues with this Smith's as well because they refuse to answer the phone for them, too."

"I have been a long time customer of Smith's Payson pharmacy. Sadly, no more. The old staff pharmacists and techs were so nice. They are all gone. This new batch is so rude. Agree with all recent reviews about not answering phones and being slow as well. I dont know what happened the last few months that caused the good people to leave, but this new batch is horrible. Seriously recommend you find ANYWHERE else."

"This is the WORST pharmacy I've ever had to deal with. Their techs are so rude. You ask a question and it's a guarantee eye roll at the LEAST. They act like asking them to do their job is just horrible. They NEVER answer the phone (I have called 4 times just this morning and let it ring over 5 minuted each time with no answer). And they take FOREVER to fill your Rx. I will go in the morning and ask for a Rx to be filled, they'll tell you 20 minutes and when you come back 7 HOURS LATER it's STILL not filled. And when you ask why they get even ruder... I get they are short staffed but that's no reason to treat your customers like this. Edit: Karlee and Boone. The only two who seem to want to actually help. I appreciate these two."
