Grappa

"Well....it ain't what it use to be. Let me start by saying my dissatisfaction has absolutely nothing to do with the staff. The 3 young women at the front desk were kind, in control and professional. Our table server, Bob, was the highlight of our dining experience! So spot on, so fun while being professional, and so attentive to his entire area. You can see that every table in our section was delighted by him and with him. Bob, my husband and I enjoyed being there. The food were all perfectly prepared. There wasn't a single dish that was a miss. The problem I had was with the quality. I'm sorry...but this food was 1 step above banquet food. I know many things need to be in pre-production before the dinner rush starts but it all tasted down right like leftovers. Again...well made...but just poor quality. Old...that jar favor, canned, purchased demi glaze, imitation truffle oil, liquid smoke...you get the idea. Such a shame for a supposed elegant dining night. Now, if each dish was 20/30 dollars cheaper, it wouldn't be a problem, but at that price, I don't want canned beans. I'm sorry, but that's just wrong. And if we're being honest here...the place can use a fresh coat of paint. It's dated and dirty looking. And you could put a heat blower above the entrance door. Those poor ladies at the desk were working in coats. Pull it up."

"First off, this place looks amazing, but the food and service are what really matters. The food is delicious, I really loved the mushroom soup (it was incredible) it was very creamy and super flavorful. The lamb chops were also great, and the sauce that went on them was also really nice. The sauce was nice and salty, it complimented the chops well. The bread that comes out before your actual food is excellent, and I suggest saving it until you get your mushroom soup because it tastes REALLY good with the soup. Now for the service, everyone was super nice and helpful. Highly recommend."

"We had an excellent dinner here on Christmas Eve. The last time we were at Grappa was about 20 years ago. Portions are generous and there is much to choose. The meatballs and lamb chops were especially favor full."

"Cozy and romantic dining experience. Service was stellar, and the staff was so knowledgeable. We've traveled the world and literally had some of the best dishes EVER! Highly recommend the Eggplant Parmesan and the Lobster. Pasta is all hand made, and the Bolognese was also incredible!"

"We really enjoyed our experience at Grappa. The establishment is a reclaimed boarding house and the seating it tight and cozy. The bread was amazing, the main dishes where rich in flavor without being overpowering and dessert was perfect. As an average Joe, it can feel expensive, but well worth it. Recommend making reservations, the place gets packed in the evenings. parking can be a challenge, try to get in the off street parking lot at top of the hill, makes for a short uphill walk.."
