"One instantly knows upon first bite - the Bao is Bao-ing. These buns are indeed "little treasures." Pillow soft, perfectly steamed buns melt like a savory cotton candy in your mouth. The Char Siu and the Curry Chicken were a perfect ratio of filling to bun with balanced flavor. I did not see xioa long bao (soup dumpings) on the menu (yet?), nor drinks offered. I suspect this is a soft launch and hope more good things are to come as popularity grows. There is a refrigerated case with buns to take and steam at home. Perfect since they are only open 11:30 to 2:30 Tues- Sat. Welcome back, Chef Romina, and nice to taste your work, Derrick and Dwight Yee. Like many others, I was sad to see Les Madeleine depart, but I'm excited for this new culinary adventure that's easily accessible in downtown SLC."

"These were decent but a place that specializes in Bao should be better than this. The Char Siu was the winner flavor-wise but there wasn't enough filling. The Curry Chicken was oddly lacking in flavor and spice. The carrot salad had nothing interesting about it at all (maybe add some vinegar?). The Milk Tea was watery and the tapioca pearls were very hard instead of gummy."

"I was very excited to try this place out and glad I did! Right when we walked in, we were welcomed by the staff. The decor was really cute too! The menu was simple and had both meat and non-meat options, which was a good variety. We ordered the Cha Siu Bao, Pork Cabbage Bao, Chicken Curry Bao, Dessert Coconut Bao, and a Hong Kong Milk Tea. The Baos were good, with the Cha Siu being my favorite. I wish the pork and curry had a bit more salt, but it wasn’t bad. The dessert Bao was good too and not too sweet. The Hong Kong Milk Tea was pretty decent, but I didn’t see any sugar available for me to add - not sure if it was in the back and just had to ask for it, but I was in a rush and didn’t go back to check. Overall, good experience to try this new place out."

"Finally made it to the brick and mortar and will definitely be back. I got both veggie bao, eggplant and bok choi/shitake. They were a little light on the filling but delicious! The carrot salad was also excellent. Can't wait to check out future flavors."

"We loved sitting outside and eating our bao. We ordered the hong kong milk tea too and it was extra delicious after adding some simple syrup. We will be going back it is the perfect treat for a cozy fall/winter day."
