"Dr. Matthew Crosby is an excellent dermatologist. I did not expect to agree to have a procedure done during my 1st visit with him because it involved an excision from the inner corner of my eye near the tear duct. I was very nervous about that. But Dr. Crosby's credentials (the reason I asked for him to begin with), his calm and professional and compassionate demeanor without pressuring me was enough to convince me that I was in good hands. I am not easily convinced, but the procedure was done. I waited to see how the area around my eye healed before writing this review. I am exceptionally pleased. The entire support staff and the office environment is very pleasant so my overall experience was very good."

"I can highly recommend Dr. Crosby for any dermatological care. I have had trouble with Eczema for years and he recommended prescribing a topical steroid. I followed his directions and it greatly improved my condition. He subsequently gave valuable advice in how to care for my skin which has prevented additional flare ups. Eczema and Dermatitis can be caused by many factors and Dr. Crosby is extremely knowledgeable and kind as he treats his patients suffering from these conditions. I recently returned to Dr. Crosby for my first full body check, as I was concerned about some moles on various areas of my body. The visit was very professional, thorough, and efficient. I was offered a robe and an MA was in the room with Dr. Crosby and myself the entire time. Every care was taken to assure me that I felt comfortable with the exam as it proceeded. I left feeling relieved and calm knowing that I started the journey of taking preventative steps to look after my health. Thank you Dr. Crosby!"

"We had a poor experience with Dr Crosby, unfortunately. We don't have any ill intent, but trying to be informative... Overall, his patients could better benefit from him slowing down, listening with intent, and displaying common baseline courtesies (bad day at work?? Maybe). I'm sure he is a generally safe medical provider, but gratefully in our community we have many healthcare options when appointments disappoint. During our brief (*rushed*) appt, Dr C froze off a wart with liquid nitrogen. As we quickly exited our exam room we surprised him and his MA when we overheard them giving each other high fives & kudos for drawing excess blood during the procedure. Big deal? Well no, but it did contribute to the overall unsatisfied experience, and unprofessional impression of the office -although unfortunately gossiping about pts is common in the medical world. We can do better. I also wish he would have spent more time during a skin check on my husband (if I had to guess, he spent 3ish minutes on the back and shoulders only, collectively. This was our #1 reason for seeking care, as skin cancer is hereditary for him, and Dr C advertises a special interest in skin cancer cases. Our attempts to draw Dr C's attention back to our concerns were unsuccessful. But, maybe just an off day in the office? Could be. This did contribute to our decision to not seek care from him for our future, and family's future.) However, after all of that, I did sincerely appreciate him filling some prescriptions for us. One less appointment for us to make! BTW I did wait before deciding to write this review as to not be hasty, but months later and we are still disappointed. Hundreds of dollars poorly spent."

"So, I had a decent experience in office. The wait was a little long, but nothing unusual for a doctor's office. Dr. Crosby was professional and helpful. I'm leaving 3 stars, because I needed a prior authorization for my prescribed medication, and when I called the front desk, they just said that Dr. Crosby won't sign prior authorizations for Trentinoin, because some insurance denies it for cosmetic reasons, because people use it for wrinkles (I got it for acne). So...that's a chunk of money out of pocket, even though there's a chance my insurance might have covered it. Other than that, the service was good. **edit** I'm revising my review, because I received a voicemail from Dr. Crosby's office saying the prior authorization was signed. I appreciate that Dr. Crosby places enough value on customer satisfaction to take action. Overall, I would recommend Cedar Dermatology."
