"We love Art City Music Academy! The teachers are very competent, kind and encouraging. My kids know exactly what to practice each week and actually enjoy practicing! They have not only learned how to play the piano but also how to compose and transpose music. Theory is taught in an interactive way and I learn things myself during the lessons that I never learned during my piano days. I really love that the students are in a group setting where they perform for each other and cheer each other on each week. Recitals are also less intimidating when you've been playing and performing for each other all along. Such a great place and worth the money!"

And it was fun as opposed to my nit and grit style that I endured through the old traditional ways. The leveled learning is done so perfectly that makes sense and is never overwhelming! "I took piano lessons at Art City Music Academy from 2011-2016. Even though I had been taking lessons for 6 years prior to starting at Art City, it was there that I was able to learn proper technique, self-discipline, and a greater understanding of music theory. I also developed a genuine passion for playing the piano, and learned to appreciate several different composers from different eras. Even though I did not have a great experience with my first teacher, once I started taking from Tara, I never looked back. She and I became great friends over the years. I also really liked the owners and the judges who were in charge of running the recitals. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for more advanced piano instruction!"
