"This is by far the worst doctor I have ever had. He is very rude , condescending and disrespectful. He doesn’t listen to your concerns, I always feel shunned because of my personal decisions and why I can’t take certain medications. He is very judgmental also, forget about being blunt. There’s a thin line between being “blunt” and being just downright rude and disrespectful. I asked him for a letter due to having issues with missing school because of a women’s health issue I was experiencing and he was so vague and rude even in the letter, not explaining the actual issue but detailing it very lightly almost as if he was purposely making sure that when I give the letter to my school they would deny it because its so vague and untrue. Amongst other things, due to my experiences with this doctor I would never recommend him to anyone. I would hate for anyone to be treated the way I am with this doctor. He also performed my surgery and there was no aftercare or bedside manners with this doctor, just performed the surgery and cashed in the 60k check. Just terrible, please find another doctor do not choose this one."

"Other than the front desk having a hard time finding me and then my medical history in their system being completely wrong (I’m assuming computer/system issue) I had a great experience. The nurse was nice and Dr. Houk was amazing. I was really nervous going to a male doc but felt comfortable with him. He was extremely knowledgeable and talked me thru all my options and answered any questions I had. They called me the next day to set up surgery just like they said they would. I’d say if you’re looking for a new doc and want one that will listen and is knowledgeable look no further!"

"Was very disappointed yesterday as the nurse acted very irritated that I was there and I was due for a Pap smear and received only a visual from Dr. Houk. I had previously called to make sure 3 times I was due a full female exam and was told yes each time. After driving in icy conditions for over an hour and get treated this way let’s me know he doesn’t want me there."

"I will never be returning to see this doctor. I went in for some insight to permanent forms of birth control as I have known for almost 7 years I don’t want to have biological children and it has been advised by multiple other doctors that I not have biological children due to other health conditions. During our conversation, he proceeded to tell me that the reason that I have the other health issues that I have is because “I am 200lbs fatter than I should be” and if I would lose 200lbs I would probably want all kinds of kids. I have never had a doctor, in a professional setting use personal feelings to dictate my care. He used his own personal feelings and experiences with family to tell me that if I wasn’t 200lbs fatter than I should be that would solve all of my other issues which are genetic. This is not the first time that he has been disrespectful when conversing with me and giving me care and it’s not the first time he has made me uncomfortable. I would NEVER recommend this doctor to anyone."
