About the Business
Wild Roots Montessori in Park City, Utah offers a unique educational experience for children ages 3 to 12. Located in the beautiful mountains of Park City, our school follows a Montessori approach with a focus on outdoor education, rigorous curriculum, and experiential learning. Our program operates Monday through Thursday, with Fridays offering enrichment activities from 8:30am-12:30pm.
At Wild Roots Montessori, we believe in creating a peaceful and nurturing environment where children can explore, learn, and grow. Our goal is to instill confidence, independence, and resilience in each child, while fostering a love for learning and the natural world. Our curriculum includes academics, emotional regulation, social skills, conflict resolution, and empathy.
In our Early Childhood level, children engage in self-directed learning that promotes self-confidence, critical thinking, and social-emotional growth. Our elementary program challenges students academically while supporting their well-being and sense of self. Older children serve as role models within our community, fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
Our Friday program offers themed activities to enrich students' skills and promote a well-rounded lifestyle. From mindfulness practices like yoga and guided meditations to science, survival skills, dance, math, and cooking, our goal is to inspire children to discover the wonders of life. "I do not have enough great things to say about Molly, Shannon, and the entire Wild Roots operation. Our kids attended 6 weeks of summer camp with them. Within a week it felt like Shannon and Molly really “saw” our kids, picking up on little personality quirks, their motivations, and the things that make them special. The care and attention they put into getting to know your kids is unrivaled. On top of that they organize such beautiful days for the kids. Each summer camp week was themed, and activities and art were all oriented around the theme. They provided plenty of play time, time to explore nature, and enabled hands on learning. We seriously considered transferring our kids to Wild Roots permanently (but had already paid all our deposits to another school!). If you hope your children will find natural curiosity, love nature and be in a supportive environment amongst other kids - this is a great place for you!"
