"This is a great diner experience in SLC. Their prices are unbeatable and the food is consistent. I just took some family members in on a Monday mid-morning and they were relatively busy, which I think just speaks to how popular it is. Brunch is great, I’m excited to go back."

"For a late night diner, this place was pretty good. They actually had enough staff that we didn't have to wait for a table and our food came out quickly. Other places have only a couple people working and it takes forever to even get seated. Food was pretty good. I had the lumberjack platter. Eggs were done right, meats were cooked well, and the French toast was good."

"One of the few breakfast places that's open early. It's got a retro diner feel inside and the staff are all great. Food is good for the price, big menu with lots to chose from. I prefer this location to taylorsville, it's cleaner and the service is slightly superior. Have been coming back to dee's for breakfast and lunch and what I'll say is this: sandwhiches/burgers are the way to go. The breakfast food at dee's is just alright, not bad but not incredible. For the same price as breakfast you can get a delicious sandwhich with fries and fry sauce included! The sandwhiches are all so tasty and filling and a much better bang for your buck compared to the breakfast options."

"Growing up in southern Utah, I never got to experience the legendary mediocrity that is Dee’s Family Restaurant. Once I moved up to Salt Lake, I was captured by their retro signage and old-school diner vibes. So, needless to say, I was excited to come here. It definitely lived up to my expectations. Extremely meh, very mediocre, and incredibly “just fine.” I say this with love. I’m not bagging on the restaurant. It is exactly what it portrays itself to be – a kinda trashy diner. I ordered a Griddle Combo with Pancakes, Eggs, and Bacon. The pancakes were fine, as were the eggs. The bacon was so burnt it tasted like a grease fire. My wife got a Strawberry Banana Crepe combo with Hash Browns, Bacon, Eggs, and Sausage. She described her meal in a very similar way to the way I described mine. Just very “meh.” Exactly what the chef ordered."
