"I went in there yesterday and I was on time to my appointment, however I had forgotten my referral for the uniforms program. I had already gotten off work rushed home to get my daughter and drove all the way to the south side. I asked the lady there to please let me have the program I was referred from to fax or email a copy of the referral over and she said that was fine. It was around 5:45-50 and I called her again while standing in their office and told her that It was being sent and she says that she is sorry but they can't see me and that I was now past my 15 minute appointment time. I said okay so you guys can't do it now? She says we are closed for the holiday and I can try and call you after the holiday but at this point I don't know if we can even do it. I said okay, that's fine may I have your supervisors name and number? She tells me that the card is out there. I call the supervisor Reverend Deborah Ingraham and explain everything that happened and she says she has to talk to her staff and find out what happened and she will call me back. I got a call back and she said to me that she talked to the staff and they told her that they offered to call me on Thursday and said no. The way she spoke to me was demeaning and as if what I said literally had no merit. I said to her ma'am I did not say that and the thing is I wasn't rude and did nothing wrong but yet you guys are treating me like I did something. She says you did do something wrong you forgot your paperwork so its a no! I said so this is how you guys treat people that you are supposed be trying to help? She says you are just mad because I said no. At that point this is beyond uniforms, this is about treating people with dignity and respect. I could tell from the tone of our conversation from the beginning that she was already biased just by how she talked to me, but I continued to tell my side of the story anyways giving her the benefit of the doubt that surely skyline just wants to help people and not make it harder for them? This has truly hurt me that the staff would lie on me and say that I told her not to call me on Thursday, which I would've never of said because I really needed help with the uniforms as I am a single mom with 5 children. I literally did nothing wrong yesterday. I forgot my paperwork and that was being sent to me and they couldn't even wait another 5 minutes, because her excuse was that she had already been up there 3 hours past the time. This is so disappointing. Edited: In response to Skylines response. When I made the initial appointment with them, they NEVER told me about the 15 minute policy whilst scheduling the first and second appointment (which they called and rescheduled) but didn't tell me about the policy until the 15 minutes had already passed. Again this goes way beyond uniforms. The director I spoke with, had already had her mind made up before she had even checked into it. Her excuse was that I was given an option to be called back on Thursday and I declined which was simply not true! She didn't care if it were true or not she had already decided that I wasn't going to be able to be helped,, because if truly their mission was to help, I asked her why would I still not get a call on Thursday because I didn't do anything wrong other than I forgot my paperwork, she told me the answer was still no, so it didn't matter what I said. I had my phone on speaker and the nurse I work with that didn't even have a clue as to what was going on, when I got off the phone asked who was I speaking to and why was she so nasty to me? She said that woman already had her mind made up and she really wasn't trying to listen to you. Sorry that skyline feels the need to have to defend themselves when there are other reviews of them being rude and no responses to those."
