"St. Mary's has been one of the best decisions I have made for my daughter. This tiny, endearing school, is a true community. I can not think of one member of front office personnel that does not have a child at St. Mary's. There are two grandmothers who work there, that sent their kids to St. Mary's, and the grandkids now attend. The principal has had all of his children attend St. Mary's, and his wife even teaches the Handbell Choir. Most of the teachers have been there a very long time, some over 20 years, if I remember correctly. Even after their kids have outgrown St. Mary's, there are a number of families that still volunteer their time. The school is grounded in Faith, morals, and manners. One of the staff members was battling breast cancer, and the kids wore pink for her every Friday to show support. A meal train was organized, in addition to having someone come and clean the house to help out. Massages were donated to help ease the pain after chemo and radiation.This is not just a good school, it is a great community filled with love. I highly recommend St. Mary's to anyone who desires their child be taught and cared for in a loving, Faith Community. It seems like every hallway door has a sign encouraging kindness and manners. Even the young elementary boys will walk over and hold the door when I come into school with my hands full, most of the time it is without the teachers even reminding them. Although nothing and no one is perfect, the couple times I have had an issue, I have felt very comfortable being able to address it with staff, and they have been wonderful helping resolve the issues. We live in Mckinney, and they have bus transportation available at a reasonable fee. This is very convenient since the Plano area schools are all more expensive."
