As the sister restaurant of Green Chile Kitchen in San Francisco, CA, which opened in 2006, Green Chile Kitchen Route 66 serves New Mexican inspired dishes made from scratch, focusing on the distinctive flavors and traditions of the region. "Came here on the recommendation of a friend and they did not disappoint! Everything was exceptional from the service to the made from scratch fresh food! Came here thinking it'd be another take on Mexican food but it's actually New Mexican influenced with green chilies shining thru. Without a doubt a shining gem on route 66! Don't forget to try one of their home made pies for dessert! They all sounded so good!"

"This place is a local gem. The food is absolutely incredible. Drinks made in house are delicious, I suggest the margarita. The chips and salsa are some of the best I’ve ever had. The queso is a great starter. Staff is very friendly and they give good food suggestions too! The homemade pies are the best pies I’ve ever had. There was a small wait when my party arrived, it was worth the wait. On top of it all, this restaurant is a local business."
