"Came from Denton for a catfish treat and was here decades ago so expectations were high and we felt it was worth the drive. Starters were the hush puppies which were very good as was the relish... cole slaw? Meh... Ordered the grilled catfish. Had a bad odor to it but pushed through the first of 4 filets. That was all I could stomach. My buddy, who ordered the same, covered his in tartar sauce. He only ate one filet as well. I guess we should have ordered the fried fish. Definitely should have sent it back and asked for the fried rendition. The upside? We didn't get sick but surprised at that."
"I hadn't been there in 35 years. We stopped by today... it was goood. Exactly what I remembered. Fried catfish was excellent. Hush puppies were really good too. We'll go back and it won't be another 35 years that's for certain!"
"The drive there was nice but I wouldn't drive it at night. It's out of the way secluded but once there the scenery was amazing. The fry fish was good but had more breading than fish. My husband ordered the grilled Cajun catfish and that was really good. Great flavor. The fries are homemade. Friendly service. Will definitely go again"
"So worth the drive! First time to visit today and it did not disappoint. Beautiful location. The staff was very friendly. Let’s talk about the food though…. Catfish was amazing. Very fresh tasting. Hush puppies were light and crispy. None of the fried foods had a greasy taste. The tomato relish 100%! It was something I’d never tasted before and oh my it is so tasty! Saved room for a peach fried pie. It came out hot, tender crust and delicious peach filling. Thank you for the great meal."
