"Definitely don't live here. I signed a lease and the room was an absolute mess when I was supposed to move in. On top of that they didn't provide a key fob to let me in and out of the building or a sheet where I could mark all the crazy amount of damages the apartment had. I contacted management and they haven't responded at all for weeks. Before I moved in I was assured by multiple people that the apartment was ready for move in. Have never had an experience like this"

"Wifi occasionally goes off. Elevators take forever. No shuttle for insane prices, although they are behind every other student apartment complex around. Knowingly that they will suck every cent you have left. Staff and management has never been helpful. Moved in to see a broken tv just to get it replaced after three months."

"The hot tub hasn't been opened in years and between cheap building and drunk people there are things that are just broken. The people in the office are nice which helps the place grow on you at least. It's really hard to beat the location. walk straight four blocks and you are at the stadium!"

"For any student looking for a place to rent off campus, this is not the place to go. It is way over priced for a small space - they love showing students a room that looks big and then put them into a tiny apartment unlike the spec apartment they bought into. They charge for a full months rent for August but don't let them move in until August 17th (no prorated amount). They charge each tenant $150 cleaning fees PRIOR to move in and then when they move into a filthy, disgusting apartment that is not cleaned - good luck getting a hold of Becky. You call, they say she only takes emails that she doesn't reply back to EVER! Management is horrible at this place. Would not recommend to anyone, such a disappointment!"

"Yes, it's nice to live close to campus and be within walking distance of downtown and the Haymarket. There are other apartments that I'm sure are much better than Latitude around that area, however. The apartments themselves aren't horrible. My appliances were always working and there was hot water most of the time. The ac could be more controlled. During the afternoon the temperature would get up to one to two degrees above what it was set at. The internet was touchy at times, and I would have to connect my laptop to the hotspot on my phone. The blinds are also constantly falling down. There were also long hairs painted into the walls of the unit I lived in. Employees do their best to answer questions, but they are nowhere close to well-informed. Management is impossible to contact. Maintenance is actually more helpful than management most of the time. The pool is constantly closed. I lived there for almost two years and I don't think the hot tub ever had water in it. The other amenities are okay. The gym is fairly large and is kept pretty clean. They did have an issue in the courtyard with people leaving pet waste on the turf and concrete, but otherwise was a nice place to hang out. The game room and study spaces were also kept clean. The garages are a whole issue of their own. The basement garage is impossible to get in and out of if you have a large vehicle. The doors aren't working half the time, whether they're left completely open so people who don't live there take the spaces or they're stuck shut so you have to call someone from the office to open them for you. Not convenient. If there happens to be cars parked in your spot, they won't tow them. There was a car parked in the upper level parking for at least two years with a "warning" paper on the windshield before they towed it. They do not care. It's also not the safest location. There is a large bus stop just to the north where lots of homeless sit, and since the destruction of the Gold's building, they moved one of the bus stops right in front of the front door of Latitude. In addition to all of this, they charge ridiculous move-out fees. They charge you a $150 non-refundable "redecorating" fee that involved repainting the unit, though I got charged $140 after moving out for paint. In the email they sent me for the charge, they stated to contact Latitude's billing agency with no number attached. I called the office, and they had no idea what the number was. They just want your money. You can find a better option for the price you'd be paying here."
