"DONT USE INSURANCE UNLESS YOU ARE SURE WHAT IS GOING TO COST. My wife and I went to her as new parents, we really did have a pretty good experience and the lip and tongue tie did help. My wife and I both work in the medical field and are extremely well versed in medical insurance, so when we were given the option to self pay ($650) or bill our insurance, she was credentialed with our insurance and we thought it would be cheaper. IT WAS NOT. She is a good provider but has no clue how medical billing works, She will bill an office visit for both the mother and the child at every visit, this means 2 copays for every visit, she is a specialist so its a higher copay (for most insurances). In the end my wife and I ended up paying over $2,000. I am not saying that this is entirely her fault, I am just saying that Self pay is going to be WAYYY cheaper for most commercial insurance (Medicare/Medicaid should use your insurance but see if you need a Prior Authorization)."

"Melanie made me feel like I was the worst mom ever. She said my baby had a tongue tie, but after getting another opinion my baby was fine! My baby is successfully breastfeeding, she just had a small mouth and had to grow up. Don’t let Melanie push you into anything! She was also unsanitary, after putting hand sanitizer and gloves on, she goes and touches her dirty phone! Would not recommend, just go to a Dentist for any oral ties."

From the moment we walked into the calming atmosphere of her office through the many follow-up appointments, my husband, baby, and I all felt at ease, supported, and informed. I took my newborn to Melanie to have him evaluated for a lip and tongue tie and she was able to give us our options after the assessment including the option to perform the laser procedure SAME DAY. While the procedure was being done my husband and I walked around the grounds outside the office and were greeted by happy buzzing bees, a friendly cat, and some lively chickens (in their coop). Once the procedure was over she made sure we were aware of follow up care and set up follow up appointments with her. We loved how many follow up appointments we had after the procedure because we were able to make sure our breastfeeding journey was on track by checking on my health, the latch during nursing, and our baby's weight gain at each of those appointments. Melanie always made sure to check in with how my husband and I were feeling about our baby's post-procedure care and made us feel seen, comfortable, and respected.
