"I’ve done several moves around the world and I have to commend Alpaca Moving and Storage for their excellent work and professionalism. The crew size was actually reflective of the size of my shipment (other moves in the past sent minimal crew) and they were very respectful of the property. They had a system in place that made things move quickly and efficiently. The items that were disassembled at the point of origin were reassembled and reassembled well. If I have to move ever again they will be my first call."

"If you value your possessions, do not use this place. ESPECIALLY if you’re military! My husband received orders to California and we were assigned Apaca to pack our goods at our home in Albuquerque. My mother’s wedding band set was stolen by one of the movers from a jewelry box in my bedroom. My mother passed away when I was 20 years old, so this was the worst possible thing they could have taken from my home. We also witnessed one of the movers literally tossing boxes down the stairs. He tried to justify this by saying they were light boxes. Regardless they were being paid for a job and should have completed it professionally and that is the complete opposite of what we received."

"My wife and I recently seperated from the military and all of our fabric furniture was filled with mold and was wet. We had to return all of our furniture back to storage for mold remediation. It has been two months and we have barely heard anything back from this company. The worker here in charge of our stuff has not done his job at all. We have had to live with little to no furniture for months at our apartment. It is beyond frustrating to not have any of our stuff back and to have this company give us virtually no updates on our situation . I wouldn't reccommend anyone to use this company as a mover. The lack of professionalism is so beneath any other mover company we have used before. Updated Response To The Company's 1 year Late Response To My Review. The Company did NOT meet all safety protocols as the movers were wanting to leave moldy and wet furniture in our apartment which is not in adherence to safety protocols that should have been followed. We did include this dangerous and negligent practice to the U.S Government in our claims process as this violates basic health protocols. While our furniture was already wet(there was recent snowfall while our items were stored in Albuquerque at the time), the movers also damaged our tables and other personal items when brought into our apartment. Our furniture was stored in Albuquerque for more than a month in the middle of winter due to lack of availability. This is not a company that should be contracted to work with the U.S. Government as they lack respect for people's personal property and fail to follow basic procedures. Very disappointed."

"We just wrapped up our best military move in 26 years and APACA was one of the heroes of the effort. Our 15,000lbs of household goods were packed up in Oklahoma City expecting a direct delivery move into a base home but our home was switched while we were on the road and APACA came through as the temporary storage for the five weeks we had to wait until we could move in. We move every two to three years in the military so we know the benefit of a direct delivery move that avoids several more sets of hands associated with loading and unloading to storage and finally on to your home. We were nervous having to add a storage stop to the move but APACA was fantastic from the start helping me collect motorcycles from the shipment that we’d need for transportation during the unexpected five week wait for a home. They kept in touch over the weeks verifying schedules and on delivery day they arrived as scheduled despite how unpredictable the Air Force gate security process can be. The entire team was professional and careful with our household goods and the home. For the first time in 26 years we had zero broken dishes, glass, or picture frames. Plenty of furniture padding was used resulting in only one noticeable chip on a large heavy dresser which is truly fantastic. We’re realistic and experienced regarding what typically happens on moves with awkward heavy furniture and we were pleasantly surprised at how carefully everything was handled. Our bicycles suffered some scuffs, a few things needed some wiping down to return them to pre-move condition, and a couple extremely fragile aircraft and boat models will need some minor straightforward repairs, but nothing unexpected or unreasonable. Everything that was important to us made it in fantastic shape. Moving is hard and filled with opportunities to break valuable and important things but APACA impressed me so much that when it came time to set up ‘non-temporary storage’ for the furniture that wouldn’t fit in the base home we prioritized them #1 on our wish list to come back. I can wholeheartedly recommend the APACA teams, planning representatives, and leadership that we worked with on this move (Aug 2023) and I will put them #1 on our list when it’s time to leave Albuquerque. "They broke pretty much everything I own. If it was wood, it had lots of knicks on it and/or it was completely broken. Things like paintings were handled extremely carelessly with almost zero protection. A majority of the screws and bolts I needed to reassemble items were missing. Things like my bed frame were only partially reassembled in a way I wouldn't notice so they could leave earlier. I'm amazed it didn't break due to the lack of supports before I noticed it. After the move, I had a near-impossible time negotiating for my claim. They ignored my emails, they fought me on almost everything. This was the sloppiest moving job I've ever seen or heard of, and I wouldn't recommend the experience to anyone."
