"My car has been broken into 2 times in the same week and I’ve had 3 cards stolen. Would really love for management to get better security so that tenants can be better protected. Cant always remember to bring every important item in and for the amount we pay we shouldn’t have to go to bed worrying if our property will be okay in the morning."

"I reviewed my review for this property and I was totally mistaken for another Apt complex up the road. I apologize for my confusion. This place is actually nice, with pleasant landscaping and the place overall looks nice. I haven't seen inside these Apts so can't give a full review. I was just making a package delivery when I encountered this place. When I'm wrong I always correct my error."

"This place has various advantages and disadvantages; and the advantages were more dominant in my case that I stayed here for three years during my whole stay in Albuquerque. + The apartment complex has lower and affordable prices compared to the neighborhood. I did not get a single rent-raise at all for three years. + They have 6-month and month-to-month lease options with a very little monthly fee. + They have very skillful and quick maintenance people. Maintenance has been handled very quickly and professionally. + The neighbors and the people living in the apartment complex have all been very nice. The neighborhood felt safe and family friendly. + I lived in a second floor apartment, it was getting quite enough natural light. I am not sure about the first-level apartments though. + I have never had noise related issues. Either the neighbors have been very quiet or the walls do good isolation job. +- Car break-ins unfortunately happen time to time, but this is the case with overall Albuquerque. I heard about 2-3 break-ins in the three year time. I myself did not have any issues once making sure that I don't leave anything valuable in the car. - The heating is with electricity and the system is a bit old. Electric bills are as high as $250 at winter months. - The property is advertised as smoke-free. Although they do their best to enforce this, many tenants smoke in their balconies. You can smell the smoke inside your apartment if you leave your windows open, as one would do in summer times. I would recommend the place. But yet, the apartment complex would have been better if they renew the heating system."

"We have lived here for 6 years and this complex has gone down hill since the new management took over last year, I totally agree with the opinion net below. We had to move out because the manager Laura, who bearly is in the property, told me to move out if I don't like how she does. She said it is my job to call police because she doesn't live there when I mentioned about drug dealing activities at night."

"I have had no major issues at these apartments. There are 59 units. They're quiet, clean, no bugs or pests. The apartment owners are super nice, and the apartment manager is very responsive to requests. Additionally, the apartment manager has gone out of her way to help me regarding special requests at times (for example, with my mail and packages). The apartments are right next to the Tramway for easy access. All units have w/d hookups and some units come with their own full sized washer/dryer (they can be rented for 40/mo if needed), or their own stackable (again, can be rented if needed, and for less than the full size). Each unit has its own central air conditioning and heat. And the rent is not outrageous (I'm paying 639 for a 650 sq foot 1br). Pets are NOT allowed, but it keeps the complex and inside the apartments cleaner. Compared to other neighborhoods, this one is definitely one of the safer ones. I'm VERY happy here, and glad I chose Candlewood Village."
