"I finally got around after two years to give a review on the most exceptional service I received on two vacuum cleaners ( a 20+ year old Oreck upright and a 25+ year Tri-Star EX-20 canister) that had lots of use on them. After both of them were given a thorough inspection, all they needed were full service tune ups and minor repairs. They were both done at a very reasonable cost and the turnaround time was quick - picked them up within three days of dropping them off. I highly recommend this business. It's locally owned and operated. Please support local businesses! The owners are a husband and wife team and are phenomenal. They really know their stuff and do quality work. They'll take good care of you. Great business, great owners, great results great value! What more can I say."

"Affordable Sewing and Vaccum is the most dedicated and trustworthy business for fixing sewing machines! I previously took my Pfaff 1473 down the street to Bob’s sewing and vacuum, and they told me that it needed a new motor, and that there was nothing they could do because Pfaff no longer makes parts for that machine. I held onto the machine anyway because it has sentimental value, and brought it to Rick at Affordable Sewing just to see if there was something he could do. He was able to track the necessary parts, fix the machine, and have it back to me in less than a week!! Thank you so so so much!!!"

"Go here, nowhere else. The price is lower than the competition, the service is impeccable, and your machine will be fixed. This is the most reliable and honest repair shop in the city. My wife is a seamstress, so we have a lot of sewing machines that need constant upkeep. This means we went to a lot of stores in this city, giving us ample opportunity to compare service. This store is the best without question. We just returned with literally four sewing machines that all needed some repair and maintenance. The machines were ready to be picked up the next day!"

"I took an old Kenmore sewing machine which a friend was going to give to Goodwill because it was not working into Affordable . It was 15 minutes before their shop closed on a Thursday and by Saturday morning Rick had it repaired and serviced! It sews like a charm. Not only is their service expeditious but they are so "affordable". Originally I had taken the machine to another service shop and they told me that it would be minimally $79 and it would be a month before they would look at it. Another shop would have charged me 97.00. I was charged $66 plus tax. Rick has experience with Bernina. However, he does not work on the ones above 660. I was so pleased with his work that I took my serger for him to service. Affordable will now be my go to repair shop. Thank you."

"Took in my Riccar 9700 sewing machine in to be serviced. Absolutely loved the experience. The owner and his wife were so nice. The work done was amazing,. My sewing machine looked like it was brand new when I picked it up. He even cleaned the case. Turns out the timing was wrong and causing my stitches to skip. Definitely the only place I will go for repairs and service. I can't say enough positive things about the work he does."
