"Susan Lane has been an excellent therapist for me. I am disappointed in our politically based healthcare system that means I will lose her when I go on Medicare this year. I am planning to delay that till the end of the 6-month window during which I must enroll or be permanently penalized for delay. Since this means that Susan will have an opening in her full schedule starting this fall, I hope someone else is able to take advantage of her skills as a therapist. She is always attentive both to what we are talking about today and to what we've talked about in the past. She reflects back to me what I have been saying and adds just the right response to help me feel better. Just for some context, I live with bipolar 2 disorder, which is not easy. With Susan's help, it has been much easier. I will be sending a copy of this review to our Senator Ben Ray Lujan, who sits on the Senate Committee that might be able to change the ludicrous nature of a healthcare program that will not compensate licensed professional clinical counselors. I do not need a licensed social worker, although I have enormous respect for that profession. I am a lawyer and have worked with all types of mental health professionals. Susan Lane is the best and I will be sorry to have to move on from her care."
