"This place is HUGE. They have a vast selection of plants at pretty good prices. Their peeps seem to be fairly knowledgeable. BUT unless you know about the plants you are buying--like you're a pro or something--I'd shop elsewhere. Last spring, on sort of a whim I bought a very cool plant called a "Blazing Saddles Mangrave" for my backyard. Putting it in a prominent area of my garden, everything was fine and I enjoyed it for the rest of the year. Until winter, the first frost hit and it promptly died like a flopping fish out of water. Mind you, this plant cost me $48 in a 2-gallon container. No warnings about this problem, though every year Albuquerque goes through several frosts. Yes, down at the bottom of my receipt it reads, "No guarantees on plant life." However, nowhere in the tag info and no one on the staff warned me that frost was a problem for this plant. When I called in the off-chance they might help me out with this (I'd be willing to take store credit.) the manager informed me of their policy. I guess I should have asked, but it would have been great if they could have warned me."

"We just joined here recently I really like the place. It’s prices are reasonable and cashiers seemed friendly on our first two visits but today they were a little backed up and a third person came out to help /young girl/and was rude, customers were confused on who was next,and she started yelling at people. I let the people in back of me go ahead of me . And I went to the back of the line, I should have left but I don’t think I ll be going back. I was unfortunately waited on by this person anyway,she did not want to give me a receipt for some reason??? But I told her I wanted one !!"

"I am new to the area and relied on Plant World's advice when planting last Fall. I purchased over $1800 in trees and shrubs. 80% of the trees died and about 60% of the shrubs died. I bought 16 each of 2 different shrubs. A little less than half are doing fine; the rest died. I went back and explained the situation and was told to take pictures to show the condition and bring back the receipt. When I returned with the requested info they refused to look at either and just blamed me for the way I watered, mulched and planted and the westher. I did all of those in accordance with their recommendations last fall. I used the same techniques for all plants, but less than half survived. Is that really me? I'm not going back there for the replacement trees and shrubs. I would not recommend this place if you are not a landscaper."

"One of the best experiences I’ve ever had with a nursery Sarah was great picking out the right plants the delivery was on time. The trees were beautiful. The delivery guys did as much as they could to help properly place them! Can’t wait to get more from Plant World!"
