"Owners are rude. Cabins have zero privacy. Feels more like a compound, with traffic buzzing by. We were not treated as a guest by any standard. Stay at the Double T (super friendly, nice cabins for multifamily use) further down catwalk road, or the Beth Menzcer Guesthouse (amazing property with full service) off of White Water road. Both are owned by knowledgable locals. Catwalk is still closed."

"although they changed their name to Los Olmos Lodge the place is still beautiful! I must say its a lot cleaner than when we stayed here a few years ago! Its like fantastic camping with benifets! Comfy beds, large rooms, very clean showers and so much to do with out electricity! We got to know our kids again with out a phone in hand every moment! They do have high speed internet but the kids were too busy to notice! Fishing is fantastic! We even gave panning for gold a try in the White water creek that runs thru the property! We found a little but had so much fun playing in the water! Give this place a try! You wont be sorry!!"

"It's an okay place. Have stayed there twice. Summers '13 and '14. Unfortunately during the year between there was nothing at all done to improve the place. Facilities in need of maintenance or repair. Also two random bearded dudes going around everywhere with our family of 90+ having a reunion. The buildings are stone, and absorb heat all day, so at night they don't cool off much. Bring fans. The nearby catwalks hike is closed."

"An excellent stay at Los Olmos ("The Elms") - it has been recently remodeled, and the cabins all now have laminate wood floors, knotty pine ceilings with ceiling fan, new windows in all cabins, slate tile on floor of bathrooms and cleanly repainted. We were not expecting the king-size bed, and we slept well. The stone cabins turned out to be wonderfully insulated, we didn't even fire up the heater in the cabin. The 14 cabins do not include phone or TV, but we used the big screen TV in the Lodge to watch our football games. The Wi-Fi works only when close to the office, as in the Lodge area, not in the cabins. Beautiful area. Easy walk to the Blue Front Bar and Cafe for dinner, and a short drive to the Alma Grill for great breakfast and lunch. My wife got up at 6:30 am, opened our front door and surprised two large healthy does walking among the cabins. We will stay here again!"
