Reviews
"Alien is a go to place for great food, good beer, and great service. While there’s better places for beer, their food is surprisingly good, their service is always great, and the atmosphere is always low key. It’s never been too loud to where you can’t hear conversation and there’s plenty of seating at the bar and at tables. During nice weather you can also sit outside. Restrooms are clean. This sounds stupid but their salads are great. Fresh and full of good greens. Not just iceberg and a couple of tomatoes."
"Tried to go in for dinner. I expect a Friday night to be busy and service a little slow. We walked in, were greeted and told to sit where we like. That was the last we saw of anyone. We waited around for over ten minutes before we got up and left. The only staff was a bar tender and one lady that occasionally left the kitchen but never seemed to actually help anyone. Most tables seemed to be waiting, looking around. What a shame, I had heard good things about the place. If you can’t get more than one person to run an entire place, you shouldn’t be open."
"Sat for 40 minutes before waitress asked if anyone was helping us. Wings were basic. Drinks were good but took a long time to get to us. We each had 1 drink and a few wings being there over 2 hours. Not a very good experience."
"I've been here a few times over the last couple years, maybe the 4th or 5th time today. While the drinks have usually been good, the food has almost always been lacking. Today, the bartender was doing most of the ordering and serving for tables, and the waitstaff popped in late and rarely. He had to run back and forth a lot, which made everything take a lot longer. It took about 10 minutes to order and another 10 to get a salad and nachos. Only about 2 dozen folks in the place. They were out of the food I wanted. The table next to us ordered french fries and they were out of that. How? Meanwhile, the manager stood behind the bar talking to some gal and didn't help at all. Overall atmosphere is good. However, one of the speakers is off and so it sounds like the music is echoing in a stadium concert. It's a convenient location with good drinks, and rarely the food hits right. I'll keep coming back, but only if I'm not up/able to go somewhere better."
"A very nice place to eat, good food and great staff This is located just north of the Coronado Freeway on the northeast corner of the intersection of Uptown Boulevard NE and America’s Parkway. It is the northernmost store of the building. There is plenty of parking. Upon entering you will see that there are a mix of tables and bar seating. It is a seat-yourself affair when I visited. The decor is centered around the name of the restaurant with large-head, big-eyed alien pictures located around the walls and emblems built into the bar. Lighting was low so it was a little difficult to see. The menu has a good selection of different types of food from burgers to wings. I sat at the bar and ordered wings, onion rings, and iced tea. The bartender was very friendly, professional, and helpful with both ordering and serving the meal. The food came out quickly and was very good. The onion rings were large and more than I could eat. The wings had a good taste. The prices were reasonable and the restaurant, overall, was clean and well-kept. It was a nice experience and I would recommend it to fellow travelers."
