"It's still cold at night it's above 7000' The first time we had to run our RV furnace since being in Arizona for the winter. The park is clean and well maintained, our site was not level front to back the sewer connection was up hill so make sure you have a hose support. There's no place to get gas or diesel for 20 miles in each direction so plan accordingly for that. There is Free Dry camping nearby but it's not accessible with rigs over 9' tall you will rip up your roof on the trees, Also if it rains or snows you will probably be stuck back there, we checked it out with just our truck because we wanted to stay an extra day because fuel prices have forced us to be frugal, but decided to move on. Yes I would stay here for $30 a night full hookups cash only. I think they take checks. I never use public WiFi but I test them, I couldn't get connected and all my devices couldn't connect? From a 2 year old laptop to a new Pixel 6 ? Not a big deal we have Starlink for security Too many bad things can happen on unprotected (no password) public WiFi that the owner has no control over."

"Pie Town RV Park is like the little engine that could, small but willing and capable. Did you take off in your RV and forget to bring your dog? No problem. Your full hookup campsite at this little campground comes with a dog. (Very friendly to everyone who pulls in. Think his name was Concho.) The campground sits on the outskirts of Pie Town, which is literally a wide spot on US60 in New Mexico, famous for --you guessed it-- pies. From the campground you can walk a half mile up the shoulder of the lightly traveled highway to any of the three pie making dining establishments that not only keep the town alive, but do so with the same hard working spirit that Made America Great in the first place. We met several of the locals and they were quite friendly and genuine. So next time you're hauling your camper across NM, skip the potholes and aggressive drivers on I-40 and cruise into Pie Town RV Park instead."
