Havana House Cigar Shop

"The owner is a very nice guy, and the place itself is lovely. Thats why I gave 3 instead of 2 stars, the owner, he’s a great guy. My issues are with the costs, and the former mailman hired to work there. I understand giving your friend a job but when he’s a jerk running off your customers you may want to retrain customer service skills, its clear from other reviews the guy is costing business. Now my issues with cost, I paid 50$ more for a box in store than I just paid for a refill of the exact same box from Cigars International, even with express shipping, I still spent significantly less. $179 for the same box I spent over $230 for at Havana House. Its hard supporting local businesses when they are charging so much more than online retailers. I understand a little mark up, and that small businesses lack the buying power of big companies, but the 50$ difference is just too much to justify."

"It's not a bad place. The guy gave my daughter a cigar box, and that made her happy. This place has some very nice cigars. When I have more time, I will be picking some up."

"Took my dad to buy a cigar and smoke in the lounge. He always enjoys a good cigar. He has Alzheimers and I showed the gentleman whom was working a card explaining his condition. He seemed very indifferent. My dad is a very social person and likes to engage in conversation. I don't know anything about cigars and my dad did not remember how to cut the cigar to smoke and asked the gentleman if he could cut it for him. He seemed a bit annoyed but did it. When my dad thanked him he just murmured "uh huh". He was not very engaging at all ,even when my dad asked him how to put out the cigar. He seemed to be bothered by his question. As we were leaving the lounge my dad was thanking him for everything and tried to make small talk with him but he was so disengaged and seemed to be bothered that my dad was talking to him. Mind you, the whole time this gentleman was in the lounge with us. I won't be bringing him back. It was a very disappointing experience. This is the reason for my one star review based on the customer service experience."

"I’m from out of town and needed an indoor spot to light up without the wind bothering me. I decided to visit here based off reviews. They have a nice walk-in humidor with a decent selection. I’d like to see more name brands but I found what I wanted. Helpful staff and friendly. The smoke room is comfortable and the nice leather chairs aren’t deeply indebted from butts. The most important thing to me that nobody every share is the venting system by his place has a large unit in the ceiling above. Now I’m the only one in the room but no lingering smoke. Worth the visit."
