The Clyde Hotel

"I booked online when we were 15 minutes away. We realize the pet fee was $75, too high for me. But when I called to cancel they told me I would have to pay for the first and only night whether we stayed or not even tho I made the reservation 5 minutes earlier. Are they having so much trouble booking guests that they have to trick them? Do NOT make a reservation here, they’re unethical."

"Very nice clean spacious room. The staff was friendly throughout my time there and the views from my room were great! Their bar in the hotel has a full bar and the staff is quick to mix up a drink. It’s also nice to see hotel that makes up the room each day. Very happy with my stay here."

"I was a guest of The Clyde for several days while my husband was in the hospital. The close proximity to Lovelace Heart made my travel to and from very easy. Especially with the The Clyde's front door valet service. I found the front desk staff to be friendly, helpful, and professional at all times. My room was quiet and large with an "entry" area. Though I prefer a much firmer mattress, like a "table with a pad firm", I think most will like the bed. Great housekeeping service. The menus in Club 1922 and Carrie's are a bit limited, but the food is very good, and the waitstaff were at the ready seeing to my every need. They offered a good selection of drink and desserts, as well. I also appreciated the on-site gift shop and their wide assortment of snacks for a late night nosh. As other reviews have noted, yes, the rooms could be updated, and I understand that is the future plan, however for me, it comes down to the service, which I found to be excellent, the delicious on-site food and drink, and most importantly, the clean, quiet, comfortable room. I'll will stay here again."

"This review is for Fever: Candlelight The hotel is very nice and is currently going through renovations but is located on a quiet street facing the convention center. I pulled up to the hotel and used the valet to park my car. The cost is $10 and they only accept cash. Once inside the hotel, they had plenty of signage of where to go for the Candlelight event. There was a bar outside ballroom where drinks were available for purchase. Once you scan your ticket they have an employee escort you to your seat. The show started on time and was about 1h15mins. The string quartet did a phenomenal job and made for a wonderful and enjoyable solo date night. Since I'm pretty short, I did pay for section A and was seated in the 1st row so I had a great view and can vary depending on where you're sitting since it's not gradual seating. Side note: They do not allow any flash photography or videos at all, but you are allowed to record and take photos of the last two songs performed or when the director states when it's okay (without flash). I would return back to the hotel to have drinks or dinner at the hotel bar and restaurant."

"The Clyde hotel is very nice, but a bit dated including the furnishings and fixtures in the rooms. Everything is super clean and well maintained which is a testament to the housekeeping staff. That being said, Mr. Martin Ortiz went above and beyond to make us feel like we were VIP. He greeted us promptly and made sure that we felt right at home. He upgraded our room and explained all the amenities that the hotel had to offer. Even though we only stayed one night, he made us feel like we were exclusive guests. He is definitely an asset to the company."
