Presbyterian Family Medicine in Albuquerque on Paradise Blvd

"I came to paradise clinic to see my doctor I had a question during check in (you have to check yourself in) I was at to question concerning workmen’s compensation. I wasn’t sure on how to proceed because my visit was because of a fall at work and not being treated completely by Concentra. The person behind the counter named Sandra , whom I asked her “ I have a question “ she stated I need to sign in. So I waited while she signed in. She looked at the screen I was on and said you make no it’s not workman’s comp. I advised her you don’t Even know what I was going to ask. She was beyond unprofessional rude short and abrupt. When I was allowed to explain my situation she stated what’s the claim number so we know who to bill. She then asked for help from a Fran and then her attitude changed and Fran seemed to know what to do. I asked for the office manager but was told this person was out of office in a different location for a meeting. I guess Presbyterian really cares about how the staff treats the sick ????"

"Love my provider the front desk lady belittles people for asking questions. I was waiting in line for a document, these ladies came up behind me and she immediately asked them for help first. I looked at her she then told the ladies to give her a moment that she had to help me because I was here first. So she asked me what I needed. I told her I spoke to the nurse about getting a document about being full or half duty. She then stated rudely but did you ask the doctor. I said no I told the nurse who was supposed to relay it to the doctor like she relayed everything else. She went to the back and came back with a post it note and said “ what was the note supposed to say” I said it needs to say if I’m okay for half or full duty. She states “ well what do you think” I said it’s up the the doctor and she said “while we weren’t in the room” I don’t see why it’s so hard for them to ask the doctor if im able to be half or full duty. I then waited 10+ minutes for a paper."

"In response to your comments, I have attempted to contact you through the recommended channels and even requested the clinic manager call me. The people answering the phone can't guarantee a call back or release the first name of the manager. The only communication received is a form letter in the mail stating this was reviewed and it's essentially the responsibility of each patient to be an expert on medical coding and billing practices. Beware, if you need anything from Presbyterian, they enjoy hiding behind a bureaucratic veil and don't really care about the patient relationship. I would welcome the opportunity of an in-person meeting if the provider can provide an avenue to do so."

"I had symptoms of an infection so I wanted to schedule an appointment with my doctor, they said it was going to take two weeks. I thought it wasn't a good idea to wait two weeks if I had an infection, and it wasn't urgent that I needed to go to the emergency. They recommended that I get tested for covid, which I did, and the results came back negative. I tried talking with them to figure out what I needed to do to see someone right away, so they scheduled me with another doctor, and that doctor never called me for the phone visit, so I was left out on that. I called the place again to figure out what happened and I spoke with someone else who asked if I wanted to schedule an appointment with my doctor again and they said it would be two more weeks, so I felt like they ignored what I had already been through before. So far my experience with this place has been awful. It seems like they either want to schedule you with a doctor that takes two weeks or recommend you go to the emergency. Everytime I call, I get confused because they keep pointing me in different directions and it leads to me going in circles with my situation. As of right now, I am waiting, while I have a possible bacterial infection, for these people to call me back letting me know what I should do. I would not recommend this place at all. The only reason I gave them one star is because my primary care isn't all that bad and the location and inside of the building is nice. But the customer care seemed liked they cared about my situation but totally bombed it."
