"I visited Los Pinks for the first time, which is one of not the most well put together fly shops I've ever been in. There were 1 or two other customers at the time with 4 to five people behind the counter. I spoke briefly to a young man behind the counter; not necessarily friendly but okay. I started looking around and an older man entered, we exchanged pleasantries. Within a couple of minutes he came to talk to me and that's when I realized he was not a customer. We had a great conversation and he asked many questions making my visit fun and memorable. Without his interaction I would not go back. Beautiful fly shop with mostly unwilling and uncaring sales staff."

He basically gave me a whole beginners' clinic! I highly recommend these folks at Los Pinos. They are generous with their knowledge and you can tell they just love fishing. Also, they are better stocked with all variety of tackle than 99% of fly shops I've been to."
"I went into Los Pinos Fly and Tackle Shop a few weeks back, and they treated me like I was family! I had a little fishing related project I was working on for my husbands bday, and they not only offered me their expertise but they sat down with me for over an hour to show me how to tie a fly myself! Cindy even held my very wiggly 8 month old baby for a few minutes while Mark showed me the ropes. Amazing experience. I highly recommend this shop, and can’t wait to go back in with my husband soon."
"This is a GREAT place to get everything you need for fly fishing, including places where they are biting! Not only can you get all the needed equipment, including wonderful flies, but the staff is super friendly and they give casting lessons at one of the local parks. Located right next to Calibers shooting range just off the I40."
