"Home of the NM Ice Wolves. Went there to see a game. Facility is fine. They have a snack bar type place making the basics (burgers, dogs, chicken tenders). The seats are fine. I would recommend not sitting in the front row as it is a bit too low. The higher up you get the actual seats versus bench seating. Both are fine. Overall, serves the purpose well for the ABQ Metro. Hope to go back and watch a few more Ice Wolves games."
"The facility itself is amazing, however, our experience with the peewee coaches makes me never want to visit again. Some of the most unprofessional individuals I have ever encountered. Grabbing jersies of 5 year old players and screaming in their face is not coaching, it's assault."
"We went to open skating. The staff were friendly and were all working hard. The skates were as sharp as butter knives, which means they were overdue to be sharpened. There were a lot of people at the rink which is ok but no one on the ice to make sure people are being safe. A kid was using the walker things like bumper cars and crashed into her friend right in front of me and knocked me over. Thankfully a stranger saw me and helped me up. Some teens were being goofy and slamming each other into the walls. It just made the experience more stressful and not as as ideal as I expected."
"I went to this place and paid for me and my friend to skate. 26 dollars to skate for 10 minutes. The ice was so choppy that it made my legs hurt from how much it was causing my legs to shake. They decided to have a public skate hour after 4 hockey games were played on that ice and weren't going to redo the ice until the end of the public skate. If you're not going to have fresh ice for people who are trying to learn or just have a good time, don't bother opening in the first place. My friend got the wrong size skates, went back up to get new ones, and they gave him the wrong size again. On top of this, the laces for the skates are inconsistent as hell. I had one that was okay, but the laces on the other were so long that I had no choice but to shove the excess into my skate, which is uncomfortable and bad. My friend's skates had laces that were just barely long enough to tie. I have been skating since I was 10 and this was by far my worst experience at a rink. Compounded by the service desk basically saying that's not our problem that our ice is garbage."
