"Concho Hills is the perfect cowboy adventure in the real American West. The ranch and surroundings are just like a western movie. Tim (aka “Trail Boss”) is a great riding teacher and historian. Marilyn makes THE BEST American style food, and keeps a super comfortable house and rooms. They are both brilliant and delightful, spending time with them is a real joy. The horses are sweet and friendly, and I really miss my four legged friends inside the house too (Kiya the dog and Maya the cat). It was such a great place I stayed an extra day. Can’t wait to return!"

"I have been riding horse for 40+ years, and my daughter Meghan for 20. We live in Western New York, and although enjoy riding in beautiful rural areas here in summer- we have never experienced riding in the west! It is with great fortune that we chose Concho Hills! The ranch is beautiful, clean and comfortable with wonderful lodging and perfectly fitting decor. The horses are beautiful and well trained to provide a safe and comfortable ride for most levels of rider. As for Tim and Marilyn, we could not have imagined better hosts. Tim is a natural teacher with a wealth of knowledge concerning horses, ranching, history of the American west- and so much more. He was also very patient with me as I tried to learn new skills! We thoroughly enjoyed our visits with Marilyn as well, who is also very knowledgeable and interesting, with top notch culinary skills! It is with no hesitation that Meghan and I give this experience a 5 star rating- and will look forward to another chance to return to Conch Hills!"

"We had the opportunity to spend four days this spring with Tim and Marilyn at Concho Hills Ranch. It was our first trip to New Mexico and the views of the mountains and plains from the ranch was breathtaking. We spent the days learning all aspects of riding and taking the care of the animals while dining on home cooked gourmet meals. The ranch is small and family run in the middle of millions of acres allowing you to tailor the trip and experience to your liking. The ranch house and bunk house accommodations are first rate and provided a genuine western experience of a lifetime!"

"My husband and I stayed in several guest ranches. Our experience at Concho Hills was amazing and the best one! Here, if you like to ride and the feeling of freedom, you will love that place and its owners. No nose to tail rides. Tim will listen to your wishes and build the perfect day or half day ride for you. It can be riding in open spaces, hills, forest; checking on the cattle as they are surrounded by cattle ranches or even riding in the arena where Tim will show you how his horses are trained. We got some very nice horses, very responding to orders, quiet and also fast when you want them to be. The tack is very good quality too and Tim spent some time with us to find the saddles adapted to our bodies. The main house separated from the guest quarters, is the owners home. Meals are taken at the same table with Marilyn and Tim and it is like you were invited by some friends. Marilyn prepares a very good food and takes care of everything in the kitchen and the whole house with a sense of details. One night, Marilyn and I joined our forces and were able to cook a French dinner, we really enjoyed this complicity! After dinners, we used to spend some time by the fireplace where we could try to get some of our hosts knowledge about the area's history and the ranchers life. We highly recommend Concho Hills guest ranch and for sure, one day, we will come again!"
