The scenery and Gila wilderness was inspiring, the horseback riding was unforgettable (Stetson was the sweetest horse!!) and the hospitality we experienced was truly fantastic. The history in this area was also captivating and we learned so much. Thanks to Meris and Seth for an amazing experience! This was probably the best trip we’ve ever been on. I was a little apprehensive since I’m not an experienced rider, but Meris, Seth, and Jodi were very helpful and encouraging. I had such a great time and loved that we were each paired with our own horse for the duration of our stay. Highly recommend!!"

"I had the great pleasure and honor of recently spending a week riding and training with Meris & Seth and the whole team at Geronimo Trail Guest Ranch. I can safely say it was one of the most challenging, rewarding, and unforgettable weeks of my life. The Gila National Forest is an oasis of fresh air and green tucked away in southern New Mexico, and the ranch itself is cozy, warm, inviting, and clearly loved by both its owners and the guests who frequent it. And the horses! The horses are some of the most gentle, friendly, spunky, and adaptable animals I've ever had the pleasure to ride and be around. The trail rides are unbeatable and the training and information Meris & Seth supply their guests and staff with is top notch. No one walks away a stranger from the ranch, and everyone seems to bond with their horses and the landscape. I can't recommend GTGR enough in any season, but especially in these times when peace, quiet, safety and natural beauty are important. "We have been to Geronimo Trail 2 years in a row and have had an amazing time. The horse riding through the Gila is beautiful. The food is also quite amazing. We had great meals our entire time at the ranch. I'd have to say one of our favorites were the picnic rides, where you ride, stop for lunch and then ride again. We have so enjoyed our stays at the ranch that we are returning again in 2020, for our third visit. We highly recommend a stay at the ranch as Meris, Seth, Fred and ranch hand are so friendly and make you feel at home."

"Just got home from 4 days of riding at Geronimo Trail Guest Ranch and it was worth every penny. The ranch is small so very intimate riding with Seth, Meris and their hired wrangler for the summer William. The scenery is beautiful and there is a TON of history in the Gila National Forest. Accommodations are very comfortable. Being off the grid is a great change to crazy busy life at home. Loved not being connected to anything. Seth and Meris are extremely nice folks to spend time with and enjoy what they do. The horses are well trained, well taken care of and great trail ride animals. And then there is the food. All I can say is I miss Fred already one day after being home. It is awesome and all homemade from scratch. Loved every second of our trip. We do plan to go back."

"My husband, who hadn’t been on a horse since early teens, and I loved our trip to this wonderful place. I am a lifelong horse lover and have often envisioned the perfect place to ride. The Gila National Forest is it, exactly my dream. This place is beautiful and Geronimo Trail Guest Ranch provides you with everything you need to enjoy the experience. I have to mention that the food was very good and always more than you can eat. Our cabin was cozy and the bed was very comfortable. The horses were nice, responsive and my husband rode every day, which surprised me. There was a family feeling at all times and we are very glad to have discovered such a great getaway."
