Uptown Saggio's

"Went in on Sunday at 3:30pm. Ordered 2 small pizzas one with pepperoni and green Chile one with half pepperoni and the other half cheese and one full order of the Diablo pasta. After placing the order and paying the person at the counter said pizzas are 30 min out which was fine. After 45 minutes of waiting I did wait in line to follow up on the order they said it was almost done. After about 10 more minutes the pasta was ready which was decent. Went back up to counter to check on pizzas they said one of the pizzas they had a mishap and half the pizza fell on the floor but would give me slices instead. So I took the 1pizza and 1 half which the pizza with green Chile and pepperoni was made incorrectly and I was given a pizza with Canadian bacon and green Chile and waited about another 15 minutes for the 2 slices of cheese pizza. The pizza was ok the pasta was ok I wouldn't say it was worth the wait and I also did notice everyone around us in the restraunt was getting frustrated with wait times. I would say if your going here order pizza by the slice seems to be alot shorter wait. Service was very unprofessional and I don't think I'll be going back anytime soon. Next time at cornado mall i will go to fudruckers where there prompt and professional."

"The food was flavorless, the Lasagna bottom layer of noodles was baked onto the aluminum pan that it was served in. Practically found an entire meatball in the layers. I understand cooking mass batches of items to throw into other dishes; but chop stuff up better. The guy who took our order basically acted as if he didn't want to be there. I will be happy if I never eat there ever again."

"Ok Saggio's, I have held back this review for a long time because I like your pizza. However, this last visit did it for me. Let me start by saying I think the pizza and tiramisu are great. However about a year ago, I waited for my food for about an hour and a half at the university location. It was ridiculously long for some slices. A guy even gave me his order because he needed to make it to the airport and had already been waiting for about 45 minutes. Then shortly after I visited for some pasta and it was just ok. A little flavorless. But last weekend I took my boyfriend for the first time to the Coronado location. The place is cool and hip, but the service and the food were just terrible. We ordered spaghetti and meatballs, lasagna and tiramisu. The spaghetti tasted like it came from a can and the tiramisu was absolutely abysmal. It was runny, soggy and watery. Very bad. The lasagna was ok, but it seemed like ravioli and meatballs layered with cheese. Not a true lasagna. When we ordered the girl asked me if I wanted salad, but told me right away that I didn't have to have any. If I am paying $19 and it comes with a salad don't tell me I don't have to have it. Give me the options as this food was expensive. After all this, I will return for the pizza and salads as they are good. If you are reading this Saggio's, please get it together with the terrible service, long wait times and the bland Italian plates."

"I have been eating Saggios food for decades at their location off of Central and the food used to be delicious. It has only gone down hill at that location, but I decided to give this location a shot and I'm pleased to say that the food was delicious just like the old location used to be. My wife and I both enjoyed our food and we shared some of it with our 10 month old son who seemed to really love it. The food isn't cheap, but you get what you pay for which is good quality food. The service was great and the atmosphere is pretty good too. I do miss the atmosphere of the old location as I consider it classic and nostalgic, but I like this location too since it is much closer to my house. I plan on coming back here again and if the food is just as good I will be updating my review to 5 stars. I do recommend eating here."

"This place is great! Atmosphere is chill, however the staff members could be friendlier. They offer an awesome range of fresh pizzas. Prices are reasonable and the spot is always kept clean."
