Holiday Inn Express & Suites Mt Rushmore/Keystone, an IHG Hotel

"Good room for the rate. We visited in the off season and a lot of the surrounding tourist destinations were either closed or closing the following week. The pool was cold, which wasn't a huge issue, just surprising for an indoor pool. Room was clean, and the heater worked really well, we actually turned it off because it worked too well. A nice big fridge and room for a family of four. The light in the bathroom was almost burnt out, but just made showers a little spooky. No real issues. The continental breakfast was good, they had an "automatic" pancake maker, warm pre-wrapped breakfast sandwiches and individually wrapped pastries, juice, coffee, cereal, and yogurt. Staff was knowledgeable and friendly. I believe I saw that they are closing over the winter to undergo renovations, so if you stay spring '22 the rooms and lobby could be completely updated!"

"Staff was great. Pool was decent. Room was outdated and not cleaned well. Breakfast was bare bones. Overpriced. Would not recommend it. Selected this because it seemed the best option close to Mt Rushmore. Stay a little further away from Mt Rushmore at a better hotel, you'll be happy you did. Lobby was the best part of the hotel."

"My family is traveling from Oklahoma to Yellowstone and we came through Keystone to visit Mt Rushmore. This was the second hotel we stayed at on the way and I must say the first one was quite a bit nicer than this one. This hotel was also a fair bit more money. I assumed because of location but still. The decor in the entrance was nice and set a rustic tone but that's as far as it went. Our room was fairly basic and it wasn't as clean as we expect. There were dirty linen in the bathroom and some of the complimentary bath items were empty. I would have given this stay 3 stars but the bed was really nice which is hard to find. We rested well."

"Nice location and very friendly staff. The rooms are clean, though the beds could be more comfortable. The pool is nice, but a little cold. The tile in the pool area is very slippery when wet. The breakfast was adequate. Be mindful that most of this hotel's online reservations options are non refundable, so be sure to read the fine print before booking."

"Very nice hotel! Very clean!! The entrance was beautiful!! The room was very clean and smelled amazing.. the pool and hot tub were perfect for the kiddos after a long day of driving. The breakfast was good, staff was extremely nice asked for a A rollaway bed the lady at the front desk brought it up within minutes. The beds were extremely comfortable almost to comfortable :) made our experience to Mount Rushmore that much better! The rate to stay here was awesome! Cheaper than the old beaten down hotels/motels in the area.Thank you for making our stay in South Dakota great! The kids didn't want to leave!!"
