"The therapist that I saw, Bre Jessen, initially told me that the cost per session is $105 for 45 minutes. During the session, she dragged it out so that it would be 60 minutes long and then charged me $140 without any receipt or communication regarding how much was being charged. Apparently the rate was “pro-rated”, but I was never asked if I wanted the session to be longer than 45 minutes. I understand that Bre Jessen is freshly out of college so I chalked it up to inexperience, but I’d think it would be important for a counseling establishment to educate their employees on how to properly discuss pricing with a client, especially because the first few sessions are vital for building trust."
