"This was a while ago, but finally getting to a review (Aug. 2023). I would not trust sending my child to this daycare, or at least to Daycare #3. Nia took our deposit (900$) to keep a spot open for our child but when we reached back out to confirm details, she told us she had to move locations and was not an additional 20 minutes away. A 40 minute one-way trip would not work for our daycare needs, so when we requested our deposit back, she ghosted us and kept the money. I would not rely on this business and will not go back."
"Auntie Ruth's has been a great fit for our family. Her smaller size program allows for her to have a close eye on each child's needs. Her communication is great, and our little one always has a smile on when we drop her off and pick her up. I have employees who have taken their kids to Ruthies 20+ years ago, for her to still be doing this shows her true passion for kids. I have seen the negative reviews and don't agree with them. After working with thousands of kids over many years to have a few sour reviews bringing her rating down was disappointing to see, especially when I would recommend her program to anyone in need of quality child care."
"I have searched the Denver area for many weeks for childcare (bigger establishments) and was in extreme shock on how some of these places treat these kids until I found auntie Ruth’s child care , I met with Ruth did house tour went over learning skills , creativity etc . I have sent my Daughter here since she was 3 til she started kindergarten, Ruth has always communicated very well wether it had been any needs for my daughter or changes and has been very understanding as both parents work demanding jobs and long hours some days , anytime Ruth had to unexpectedly close ( mainly during Covid) she always had backup plans . I now send my nephew here , he’s always super happy to go in and play . She teaches them everyday things as they get older & starts to prep them for school, Ruth is very respectful as well as her family . I highly recommend this daycare."
"DO NOT SEND YOUR KIDS HERE. After 9 months with Ruth, we ended up finding a more conveniently located daycare. We gave Ruth ~5 weeks heads-up to find a replacement. She then called back and said her daycare is closing effective immediately, due to something from 6/13 (I was too dumbfounded to investigate into what happened). She did refund our payment for July. I called back to see if another location had availability (as we were now daycare-less, and we both work full time), and ask if we could come by next week for our belongings; no answer, I left a message. We called back half a dozen times over the rest of the week (we were out of town), and it just kept going straight to voicemail. I started to wonder what was going on, and when we called from another number, it actually rang; she had blocked our numbers. We still needed our belongings back, so we showed up, only to witness another parent dropping off their child. She blatantly lied about closing her daycare. She locked the drop-off door (and had that parent go out a different exit) and then wouldn't answer either door to give us our stuff back. She finally left a bag out back with our belongings. We have not seen or spoken to her since the day we told her we were changing daycare. This is the most UNBELIEVABLY unprofessional experience I have ever had, and this is a business that takes care of children. The morning we went over to pick up our belongings, we received an email from the State reporting "improper sleeping conditions" with a loose-fitting sheet, which occurred the week prior. Ruth never notified us about this State inspection herself. Aside from this troubling situation, we were also inconvenienced when Ruth gave us short notice about 5 different dates she would be closed in July. Another time, our baby had a diaper rash that lasted about 3 weeks. The rash would improve over the weekend, and often get worse during the week, while in Ruth’s care. There were many days we would pick up our child and Ruth could not tell us how the day went (i.e., when the last nap or meal was). She was initially good at filling out the infant report card, but after about 6 months of age, she stopped (and when we asked her to continue, it was inconsistent at best). Sometimes we would pick her up with a dirty diaper, and often with gunk in her hair. Our kiddo was always smiling when we did drop-off/pick-up, so we figured everything was okay. But if this hasn't convinced you to seek care elsewhere, I don't know what will."
"Annie Ruth’s has 3 locations. I called Jessica first which is number 3 she told me she did not have space for my 1 year old and to give the other two a call. I then called Ruth next who told me she only had room for a few months because she took deposits from moms who’s kids have not even been born yet (not sure if that is legal or not especially when accepting CCAP). So told her I would like to see the place. I then called Lenai at # 2 I believe and she told me that she had space for my 1 year old and was going to give me her provider number I told her I would like to see the daycare and she told me she was closed on Friday 10/07/22 so I scheduled for Monday to go see it. However I was not able to make my appointment with Lenai because of personal reason. Upon going to go see Ruth’s daycare she is not friendly at all the kids did not look happy and the energy was just off. She showed me around and she had a spare bedroom where it looked like someone was staying. She did have a lot of animals around a tarantula that sat on the bottom of a stand where the babies could reach it that didn’t feel safe. (Oh they don’t touch it was her exact words) So after the tour Ruth told me that she will only have space until Nov so I should hurry up and get my worker to process everything. After leaving Ruth’s I called Lenai (Ruth’s Daughter) she then tells me she talked to her mom about me and she no longer has space because she has babies starting in Nov that has also made their deposits as well. I asked her how was that because she told me she had space on Friday and she just said I don’t have space anymore. So later on I called Ruth back and talked to her about speaking to Lenai she was rude. So I told her I was confused because Lenai had space until she talked to her mother (Ruth) about me and now she does not have space. These 3 daycares are not transparent and I am glad my child is not going there. Ruth is rude and she lied about not knowing why her daughter no long had space."
