"I really appreciate Dr. K. I read through some of these reviews here and they just strike me as really unfair. He is a solo practice with a third party billing company, that’s transparent from the start. So the issues that accompany such an arrangement shouldn’t be a surprise. In my dealings with Dr Kalousek, he’s been sympathetic and supportive and is always in a good mood and happy to help me through my challenges. I look forward to our checkins because he’s just a good guy who I legitimately enjoy talking to."

"Horrible psychiatrist, and I have seen many psychiatrists in my 30 years as a mental health patient. Extremely unprofessional and he thinks its OK to make fun of his patients. Always uses phrase "type of thing" when he is discussing your case with you. Somehow think he has been doing his job WAY too long that his patients have begun to rub off on him as he seems to have mental issues of his own. He has no interest in helping his patients and obviously entered the profession with profit in mind."

"BEWARE! DO NOT USE THIS DOCTOR! Doctor George Kalousek is not a good doctor and he"s a worse business person. His visits aren't professional. His billing is defective. We told him we'd changed insurance and gave him our new info multiple times, yet he still can't figure it out. He'll spend too much time talking about that in the session. I just got a call from a collection agent because of his incompetence. He had my address as the local CVS, proving he never sent a single bill to us. Do yourself a favor and find a different doctor."

"I’ve been seeing Dr. Kalousek for a year and a half, and have seen him for 5-10 appointments in that time for major depression. Finding a psychiatrist is really hard when you are already dealing with a mental health issue, and are advocating for your own recovery. So I was relieved after dozens of phone called to find Dr. Kalousek. There were red flags from almost the beginning, and I kept promising myself that I would find another psychiatrist and get on a wait list while my mental health is good, before I have a looming need for anti-depressants. Unfortunately I did not do that and kept putting it on the long finger. After a phone call yesterday with Dr. Kalousek in which he was dismissive, shaming, sensationalist, and rude, I decided that enough was enough. I have started seeing my PCP instead. I need a health care professional who will actually listen and who will include me in my own care. This is not Dr. Kalousek. He is very much a man of his time, when doctors were authority figures in the community akin to God. It is not a collaborative relationship. And for those of you who are interested in integrative or functional approaches to chronic mental health issues, Dr. Kalousek is the furthest you could get from that kind of care."

"I’m not sure why Dr. Kalousek has bad reviews here! He was able to see me as a new patient very quickly and he also is working with me on my disability paperwork. He is very knowledgeable and considerate. Heads up: he charges the copay at the time of the appointment and does not take cards. I was able to pay with a personal check."
