"Not impressed with their communication. My therapist has been great. But good luck getting a perception refilled in short term notice by calling the phone number. Update: thanks for responding to my review but not my call."

"Larson Mental Health is very lovely to work with, they are prompt and communicative. I love my provider, Charles Berndt, he literally helped me so much. I highly recommend Larson Mental Health and Charles. Thank you so much for being so caring and easy to work with. This place genuinely wants to see you succeed!"

"Jessica Vialpando made me sob after a thirty second conversation. I called trying to update my insurance information and cancel my upcoming appointment. I was told in a callous tone how it is my responsibility to update my insurance information. I haven’t been able to take my meds so I was upset at the accusation and said I didn’t appreciate the attitude and that I just want to know how to update my info and cancel my appointment. She then talked over me repeatedly to tell me “she is trying to help me but if I don’t calm down she will hang up”. How can you work in mental health when you can’t handle a slightly stressed confused person? I was asking for help. She hung up on me repeatedly and refused to let me speak to anyone else. She should never be near anyone with any mental health issue. She went out of her way to ensure I did not get care and was extremely rude and unhelpful from the drop."

"They are really responsive. And they really try to work with you if there are issues at your pharmacy. I mentioned a random thing to my provider a couple of months ago and she brought it up at our last meeting. It wasn't anything important, but it was sweet that she remembered! Also, she helped me get my jacket unstuck from my purse for like, 10 minutes so that was nice lol."

"I am leaving this review because I had an extremely negative experience with a provider and I want to warn others who are choosing a provider at Larson Mental Health. My experience with Nicoline Frinwie was the most negative experience I have ever had with a medical professional. She did not treat me as a whole person. Only as a list of symptoms. She diagnosed entirely based on my answers to a series of tests and seemed irritated when I asked her for any clarification. When I told her the medications didn’t seem to be working, she blamed me. She was not interested in discussing possible treatment options, only in increasing my dose until the side affects grew overwhelming. I have now switched providers and am so relieved and happy that I did. Charles Berndt was patient with me and answered all of my questions. Nicoline didn’t want me to ask questions and grew increasingly frustrated when I tried to speak up during our appointments. If you are looking for a psychiatrist please choose somebody who is compassionate and see you as a whole person, not somebody who will make you feel small and ashamed. I understand that due to mental illness I can be easily triggered but I cannot imagine that this is unusual among people looking for psychiatric care."
