Boulder Women's Care

"only because I can't give ZERO stars. Boulder Women's Care - not worth your visit. They billed us for outpatient services, for an office visit. We are being billed from the Hospital when we never went to the Hospital (BCH). We went to Boulder Women's Care. Find a provider not located in hospital or plan to get screwed on insurance claims. I have contact the Colorado Attorney General because I believe this is fraud. We had no knowledge that something as marginally invasive as an ultrasound would be billed as "outpatient services" , and got billed from someone we didn't have knowledge of was the provider."

"Disappointed. They called me a couple of days before to say they had scheduled me incorrectly and that I needed to reschedule. I had made the appt over a month before that. Supposedly, the doctor claimed I was a "new" patient, which I was not. I've been seen there for years, but after my hysterectomy, it wasn't yearly. I won't go back."

"I had a good experience with Dr. McNamara and the staff at Boulder Women's Care for a minor surgery. There was a bit of back and forth for scheduling and insurance that required me to consistently follow up with the scheduling staff, but I feel like that's to be expected with most healthcare facilities these days. The surgery itself was a smooth and easy process and I would certainly return for future needs."

"I hesitated leaving this review but I feel Boulder women's care needs major improvement with regards to the medical team. My experience, the staff cancels last minute. I've had two appointments rescheduled for various emergency reasons. We schedule these appointments in advance to an advanced check-in and then less than 24 hours were canceled. I had an appointment scheduled in December canceled rescheduled for tomorrow 8:00 a.m. and here it is almost 4:00 p.m. The day before getting canceled. The worst part is they didn't even leave a message I was working and while I saw a call come from the hospital without a message left I made it a point to call after work and thankfully I did after a 20 minute hold. I was told that my appointment is now canceled and they needed to reschedule yet again. My question is why are they allowed to cancel without having backup? When we as patients have to take off work and get days approved just to have appointments canceled last minute? One emergency is understandable. Consistent emergencies is a clear staffing issue. Unfortunately, that has been my experience with Boulder women's Care."

"Terrible experiences with this practice. One appointment the front desk told me I could just show up at the appointment time (as opposed to the check-in time 20 minutes early) and once I was taken back to the exam room, the MA berated me about not showing up for the check-in time that was used to do the consult with the MA so you’re ready to see the provider at the appointment time. Communicate that with your front desk!!! And why not just set the appointment time as the time you ACTUALLY need the patient there?? Much worse than that, my provider has proven to be grossly uninformed both times I’ve seen them. When I ask questions about the devices/medications they prescribe me, they blatantly admit they don’t know anything about the products! How were they ever granted prescription authority??? My second appointment, I brought peer reviewed research refuting what they told me several times at my first appointment about my birth control which they had backed up by saying that was what the manufacturer claimed. Oh and they spoke badly of the provider I saw at this practice a year ago who actually was excellent. Reading reviews and seeing so many who’ve had similar experiences made me realize these are not one-off things and I should find a different practice for care. Really unfortunate that they’ve monopolized Women’s Healthcare in this area."
