"Patient- "Greetings Casey, Thank you for seeing me this afternoon. Unfortunately, not being provided for until after 1:30, I was almost late returning to school for a 2:00 meeting and had no time to discuss the excessive charge. Rather than running this dispute through my credit card company, I would simply like to ask that the "emergency" fee (not listed on my receipt) be returned. After having discussed the matter with several teachers, essentially being charged 2X for one appointment seems rather suspect - including to the two people from school who recommended you. There was no prior notice given for the additional $105; and honestly, you'd even forgotten about telling me to come at 1:00 (which is right after your typical hours). While I appreciate your 15-20 minutes, no extraordinary efforts were made to even warrant "emergency" classification. In short, please consider refunding the unanticipated upcharge to my credit card. Respectfully," Doctor- "im slightly surprised as to why you would be emailing me in the tone that you are using. as you can see from the above communication exchange leading up to yesterdays meeting, you never confirmed with me that you wanted to take my 1pm “emergency spot”. So you can now start to realize why I had such a surprised reaction when seeing you waiting outside my office. The additional 105 emergency fee has been a standard fee that has been in place in my office for years now and is applied to any visit that is outside my posted treatment hours. As for your rude unnecessary tone with blaming me for “forgetting I told you to come in” let me just first start by saying, I take pride in making myself available for patients as much as humanly possible, and come in early or stay late on days well outside my office hours. So when someone doesn’t actually confirm with me that they are wanting to take a particular “emergency” spot that has been offered to them then that spot will be given to the next patient in need! Secondly, the problem with entitlement is that it is usually failed to be recognized by the person who is acting in such a way. When you showed up at my office at 1pm without confirming you would be there, you did not knock or in anyway relay to me that you were even there or waiting for me, and after I finished with the 1pm emergency patient that paid the exact same fee and did actually take the time to respond to my offer and actually confirm she would be there at 1pm, I could have just as easily told you “sorry but I’m closed for the day”, but out of the kindness of my heart i wanted to stay longer and get you treated as your description of what you were dealing with sounded like you really wanted/needed to be treated. As I do apologize that you were “almost late” for a 2pm meeting, what you may not realize is I in fact had to actually miss a scheduled phone call with my CPA so that I could get you treated. In conclusion, from my understanding based on our communication thread, 1. You did not respond/confirm to my 1pm emergency visit offer. 2. you were given prior notice that the visit was in fact an emergency visit. If you feel further discussion needs to be had regarding this topic please feel free to let me know and we can schedule a time to sit down and discuss matters further. (You will not be charged any fees for this “scheduled meeting”)" Patient- "No further discussion is necessary. Your unprofessional, argumentative, and deflective response speaks volumes. I will simply file the dispute with my credit card company." Doctor - "I’m sorry you feel this way! More so I’m disappointed in your accusations, as I went out of my way to accommodate you as much as I reasonably could. I’m also utterly shocked that you feel you were entitled or owed a lesser fee when you were seen outside of normal office hours without a confirmed appointment..." [continues but remainder exceeds character limit]"

"Doctor Casey saved my vacation (and maybe my whole summer.) Wrenched my lower back badly a week prior to a trip that I went on anyway to be stubborn, even tho I couldn't walk or carry anything without bad pain. Casey listened, helped to reassure me where I was nervous, and then proceeded to unlock my entire body, hips to neck. Walking around town now pain free. Couldn't be more grateful. Highly recommend."

"Dr Casey was incredible! After suffering an injury years ago playing international rugby, I have dealt with lower back pain and spasms for many years. After aggravating the injury skiing on holiday, Dr Casey was able to take me in the following day, outside of his regular hours to assist. Not only did he help relieve the immediate pain, the next day I was able to ski 5+ hours relatively pain free. He also provided me with stretches and activities to support my long term rehabilitation of the injury. Above all, he was extremely friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend Dr Casey and Telluride Chiropractic to anyone looking for treatment in the area."

"I highly recommend you go see Dr. Casey! He is personable and an excellent Chiropractor! I have been going to chiropractors for years and Dr. Casey is the best! He takes the extra time to make sure you relax and are comfortable before adjusting you! While other chiropractors often don’t and you can tell the difference! When I started seeing Dr. Casey, my hamstring flexibility was so bad that I could not run effectively. Dr. Casey took a comprehensive approach and the extra time needed to resolve this issue and has me running faster and pain free ever since!"
