"I should have left this review a long time ago and thought I did. Better late than never. In 2019, I sent my horse Frankie to Shamrock Sport Horses for a month long training program. I was just a kid at the time, 16 years old. Frankie was a gift for my birthday so that I could pursue my interest in show jumping. Shelia was not a super pleasant person to deal with from the start but I just needed help with my horse. She was rude and brash. But I could deal with that. Within the first week, she told me that my horse would never be anything more than a ranch horse used to go check fences. 2 weeks into training, Frankie coliced and passed away overnight. I work in the animal industry, I understand thing happen out of our control. Obviously his passing was sad and unfortunate, I was devastated. But I don’t blame her for that. The real kicker for me and ultimately what earned her a 1 ☆ is the fact that the following weekend, when I had traveled over an hour to come and pick up his tail hair and halter, she couldn’t even be bothered to be there. Left his stuff outside for me to just grab and go. Unprofessional. I couldn’t imagine in a MILLION years doing that to someone who had just lost an animal. The very least you can do is be there to hand the stuff off and over condolences."

"I really like taking lessons with Sheila. What I like best is that she trains independent riders. The students are responsible for catching their horse and getting him/ her ready to ride. She helps, but she doesn't do it for the students, which I appreciate. She isn't mean or abusive, but she doesn't mollycoddle either. She is honest about what needs improvement and what the student does well. She has reasonable expectations of students and holds them accountable. I would recommend this riding academy, especially for children."

"THIEF watch your MONEY! She requires your card and pulls monthly. She costently forgets your scheduled appointment, says she going to reschedule to balance payment yet she stills takes your money the following month. And never reschedule what you already paid for. Exampl; 240.00 a month one lesson a week. If she reschedule 2 lessons and never does them then you just paid 120.00 for 1 lesson. You can hire a private trainer for that amount and actually get your lesson. Sheila Johnson you owe us 260.00 that you stole from us!!!! PARENTS SIDE note she is really mean to children when she is in a bad mode or doesn't get her way. Especially if parents aren't there. She explains it is the industry, it is NOT the industry. Watch for emotions with your children. Horse industry is strong, strength and integrity. NOT abuse!!!!"
