For the past 30 years, Plum Creek Academy has been dedicated to meeting the unique needs of students with Serious Emotional Disabilities or Autism Spectrum Disorders.
At Plum Creek Academy, we offer two distinct programs for high school-aged students: the Affective Needs (AN) program and the Dual-Diagnosis (DD) program. Admission to either program is based on IEP team referral, and students can attend on a full or part-time basis.
Our AN program provides grade-level core curriculum, elective courses, intensive academic intervention, and mental health support to help students transition back to a traditional high school setting. With smaller class sizes and personalized learning experiences, we are able to focus on all aspects of student success.
In our DD program, we support students with Intellectual Disabilities and co-occurring emotional and behavioral challenges. Our dedicated staff provides specialized instruction and intervention to help each student thrive academically, at home, and in the community.

"Wow do i remember this place it very bad they never really cared about the students only cared about the paycheck"
"This is more of a daytime juvenile detention center than a school. Students and their families are expected to "conform" to any demand from staff members. And the "rules" are constantly changing. One of their favorite phrases are, "you will comply". If your child suffers from mental health issues, don't allow them to be sent here. It will make matters worse. The school will not work with your family or outside resources to help your child succeed. Students are searched and "wanded" each morning. Law enforcement is called to the school constantly. It is anything but a safe and nurturing environment. Students fall even further behind academically and most just give up and drop out."
"Contrary to *most* reviews of this place, it's actually a fairly supportive and small community, where the staff tries their best to accommodate everyone. Your child needs mental support or a smaller school environment, I think this would be a great place for that."
"Word of advice: if you're looking for a "safe and supportive" school to put your troublesome, troubled, or disabled child in, look somewhere else. This school does not offer much on the education side of things, and prefers security over privacy in some areas. Most students are not changed or improved at least by this place. Do not consider this school as an option for your child."
