"Starting a family and having young children is difficult and should be one of the most exciting things you do in life; daycare should NOT add to the challenges and bring down that excitement. Anyone considering this Goddard as your childcare provider should strongly consider virtually any other facility not owned or managed by ‘Sloan’. Make the drive; your kids (and you) will be much happier. The owner is clueless to the happenings at the school and the director is in over her head. Like good parents, we converse with our children AND their teachers to ensure we’re involved in knowing what’s happening in their very important, young lives. The director is upset if you discuss or interact with the teachers directly and retaliates against your children when and if you question or escalate any issue to her or the owner. The school does NOT advance children based on developmental needs; the director stated on a call that she "does NOT have time to listen to every teacher about every student about every advancement or placement." Isn't that the director's job? She’ll fill rooms to fill them regardless of age, development, etc. Your children deserve better than this (especially for the price!) Other items to note: Revolving door of faculty and staff – most are unhappy with the director; very few have ever met the owner (careful talking to the teachers though, you’ll be punished!) SCAM ALERT: ‘catered lunch’ – it is Cosco (at-best) pre-packaged, frozen food, canned vegetables all heated in a ‘food WARMER’ in the laundry room – yikes. They will NOT feed your infant/toddler alternative food if what is ‘catered’ or what you pack your child is not to their liking – I guess letting an infant go hungry is an option…you will get a panicked call though as if the daycare provider does not know what to do! We gave 9 days notice, and pulled our children. We found a much better fit – a facility that cares for children and families while truly feeding them healthy, real food as part of the overall cost of tuition. DO NOT BE FOOLED – ‘on-site owner’ is a loose term; at almost three years of enrollment, my wife and I have never seen her while many of her staff have seldomly, if ever, seen or met her. You and your children deserve a much better experience than this in some of the most exciting times of your life!"

"Our son had a wonderful experience at Goddard! He was in two different classrooms (moved up because he got older) and the teachers he had were patient and caring. The best review I can write is that my son adored both the staff and teachers and looked forward to going to school, especially for Splish Splash Fridays. As a parent, that’s the best you can ask for. They do arts and crafts, have a garden, and have a great play area for the different aged kids. The school communicates well with parents, both by email and via the Tadpoles app. My husband and I love seeing the pictures throughout the day and getting a report on how our little guy did that day (did he eat well? Nap well? It’s all there). We trust Goddard and highly recommend them!"

"We have been going to Goddard for almost 2 years, and we couldn't be happier. They over-communicate, I love the teachers, and they truly make you feel like you're the only family in the school. They are attentive with our child and I love how descriptive the lecture notes are. It's helpful for me, at home, to be able to know what our son is working on. This will be our last year at Goddard, as our son will move on to Kindergarten, but overall, they have been a joy and we will miss them!"

"Our daughter has been going to Goddard since she was 18 months old and is now almost 4.5 years old. She has thrived in all areas. I attribute that to the wonderful teachers she has had over the years and the nurturing environment that is created. We've been very lucky to have amazing staff in each of her classrooms. Our son will be attending Goddard as well next year and we're excited to see his progression through the years too. The current management team of Erin, Crystal, and Laura are exceptional to work with; They treat our family like "family!" I encourage any of you to check out Goddard. I think you'll be impressed with Erin, her team and the great team of teachers."

"My son has been at The Goddard School at 1400 South Emerson since it opened in October, 2010. My daughter started recently at 3 months old in July. Both of my children have done well in the Goddard atmosphere. My son has thrived in his now, preschool classroom. His teachers are well-educated, compassionate, caring and creative. He has enjoyed a stable environment with very little turn-over of teachers. My daughter is happy when I drop her off and happy when I pick her up. She is definitely loved in the baby room!
