"I love the idea of backpacking secondhand in one place. Was looking for a jacket, used prices look about REI’s price level, but I noticed a lot of stuff with stains, I mean I get it it used, but would be a nicer shopping experience if it was sold clean or accepted only clean. Anyway, I dropped two stars not even for this reason. I picked some stickers and a chocolate cookie which I was so excited to try on Polar Express ride, but when I opened it was molded. You guys may want to throw the rest of those that you have left in the store…"
"Be sure to check for holes that need to be sowed. I bought a black men’s shirt and after I bought it, the clerk pointed out that it had a hole in it, which was nice of him because I wasn’t aware of it but they wouldn’t accept a return immediately after purchasing the shirt which was discouraging and left me feeling swindled and dumbfounded for spending money on a ripped shirt. Durango Outdoor Exchange, as an outsider visiting the town, you left a unhappy experience and a sour taste in my stomach."

"I LOVE Durango Outdoor Exchange! It is, without a doubt, the biggest little Mom-n-Pop outdoor gear shop you'll find this side of the Mississip'. They have tons of used and new gear for one to peruse. The staff? Very welcoming and very knowledgeable about local trails and the gear you need. True story - out of the 3 different stores I called, they were the one that immediately understood what i was looking for when i asked if they had any bear canisters. Not even kidding - the other two places thought I was asking about bear spray when I asked about bear canisters. Can you believe that?! Why would you go anywhere else in Durango? Durango Outdoor Exchange will get you setup, and they'll do it with a warm and friendly smile."
