"Beautiful view, worth the hike, good fishing too! Just know the drive to the trailhead is rocky, and you will need 4WD"

"I’ve hiked all over the US and Europe. This was the most beautiful hike I’ve ever done. We started from the parking lot went to the upper blue lake. The hike was 5.3 miles total and took us around 3 and a half hours. The climb is fairly challenging due to the altitude. The hardest part is from lower lake to middle lake, but that’s where you get the best views! Start early because it will get pretty packed later during the day. We got to see the sun crest the mountains and didn’t run into a single person the whole trail. There was also a little black bear that’s graced us with it’s presence. If you’re in the area this is a must do hike!"

"A lot of hikes in this area are too strenuous for kids, but the Blue Lake hike was perfect for my 7 and 9 year old sons. It never gets too steep, nor does it require being on the very edge of any cliffs. The lakes are beautiful. It's a long way to go for this, but I've never found a better place for kids to tease marmots."
