"I’m so glad I came here! I had a couple designs in mind and I was excited to see that Amber could do them all since this isn’t always the case at many other salons! They had a lot of varying fun colors and everyone was so sweet, especially Amber! She talked to me a lot and we had a lot of great conversation, which made me feel comfortable!"

"dip nails were applied extremely thick to the point where they were sticking to her gloves- were filed down a decent amount but hard to get nails even when they start off thick. no cuticle work done before, so nails look relatively unclean/ like they are already grown out. 15 minutes in and we were already more than halfway into the dip. went back to get them filed down two days after and possibly get the cuticle area/sides fixed, but felt as though my concerns were dismissed, and was relatively uncomfortable to be back. was told that it was so thick because the color (funny bunny) would’ve been see through, and also because i had tips added...totally understandable but felt that the unevenness/thickness could’ve been less so. she filled one of my nails to the cuticle with the clear dip - instead of the color- and it ended up looking worse, so i just let it go and left the other nails alone. i understand that this isn’t a professional nail technician, but do feel the price was not worth the service- if it was $40-50 I think it would’ve been more reasonable. I paid $70, and still tipped $12 :/ will say i’ve had a decent experience here the first time i came, but do think it’s worth it to do your research on techs"

"5280 Beauty Bar was a wonderful surprise. Booking a manicure through their online portal was extremely easy and quick. Upon arrival I was greeted and sat quickly. The salon was very clean and all nail instruments were new and came packaged and unopened. My nail technician Quyen helped me pick out my nail colors and design based on the photos I brought in with me. I appreciate the quick service and attention to detail. I will be back. "Update: After posting this review, the owner of the salon contacted me and offered a free service to correct my manicure, and WOW. My tech Sammie did a beautiful job; my nails look perfect and reflect the quality that I expect from this location. I would gladly return to Sammie for future manicures! I wish I didn’t have to write this review! But unfortunately my most recent experience here was not up to par with what I have come to expect from this 5280 location. I got my usual gel pedicure which was great, as always. But my full acrylic set with gel is lacking in quality and attention to detail. The application was horribly uneven and my nails were in no way uniform. The acrylic was applied unevenly in terms of thickness, and almost bulbous at the ends of some. On many of them, the acrylic is welled up and thicker on the sides and thinner in the middle instead of following the c-curve of the tip that was applied. Also, many of the tips were slanted (I requested a square shape) and the ends of my nails were awkwardly flared out at the ends. There was also acrylic on my skin and on side edges of a few nails which I had to file off when I corrected the shape as best as I could at home. I wish I would have scrutinized them more while actually at the salon but I thought it was just me at first and it felt rude to question a professional on their work. Like I said, my pedicures here have always been great, but I can’t say I’ll be having any more manicures done at this location."
