About the Business

The Arvada Tavern

The Arvada Tavern is a historic establishment located at 5707 Olde Wadsworth Boulevard in Arvada, Colorado. This bar, restaurant, and night club offers a unique experience for patrons looking to enjoy delicious food, craft cocktails, and live music.

Originally purchased by Adolf and Marie Siepp, the Tavern underwent a remodel inspired by the 1934 Chicago World's Fair. The interior architecture pays homage to the 1940 remodel, with terrazzo floors and a glass block entry. The Tavern was known for its classy atmosphere and excellent customer service, thanks to employees like Mable Gramm.

After a period of decline, the Tavern was revitalized under new ownership in 2012. Mike Huggins and Lenka Juchelkova have worked to bring back the original charm and emphasis on craft cocktails. The Tavern specializes in pre-Prohibition style drinks, made with homemade syrups, bitters, and tonics.

The history of the Arvada Tavern dates back to the end of Prohibition in 1933, when the first Tavern license was issued to Adrian Kline. This marked a new era for the town of Arvada, allowing the legal sale of alcohol for the first time in history. Today, the Tavern continues to provide a classy and welcoming atmosphere for locals and visitors alike.

"Very chill speakeasy 1920's vibes going on here. I know speakeasy and handcrafted get thrown out loosely these days but this place is def about the quality cocktail crowd. I think the videos and pictures speak for themselves. The Food is also good for a place that focuses primarily on cocktails. I would call it quality bar food +. I would recommend sitting at the bar if you want to get the full experience and interact with the friendly bartenders."

"It's definitely a place for good drinks! Limited menu, but food was absolutely on point! Got to try the pork belly app!"

"We love this place! Great food, creative cocktails, smaller wine list but all reasonable price points especially for the quality.loved the beef cheek sandwich. Pierogis and banana pudding were great too!"

"Super duper great food and drink at the Arvada Tavern. Service was on point, Samantha L was super knowledgeable and she could not have been nicer and more accommodating. The bartenders and kitchen staff absolutely killed it for our first visit here. We had Pierogi and Chicken Schnitzel and both dishes were really delicious and full of flavor. Highly recommend we will be back."

"There is a nice tavern, elevated compare with the others in town. We expected a me ir accordingly but was a deception. Menus is nothing special, the only that we can highlight are the appetizers (artichoke dip). Waitress was very attentive. There is a good list of signature cocktails. Recommendation, go for a drink and appetizer…. Doesn’t worth have dinner there."
