About the Business
Johnson Recreation Center is a neighborhood-level gym and health facility located at 4809 Race Street in Denver, Colorado. The center offers a full court gym for basketball and volleyball, weight and cardio equipment, and a group fitness studio with classes like Zumba®. Please note that the Racquetball Court is permanently closed as of December 20, 2019, to be repurposed as a boxing studio.
In addition to its fitness amenities, Johnson Recreation Center provides a free meal program for youth and offers free membership for youth through the MY Denver Card program. Active Older Adult (AOA) classes are also available, as well as a free membership for residents ages 60 through the MY Denver Prime program.
Please be aware that the center may unexpectedly close due to power outages, maintenance issues, or inclement weather. For the most up-to-date information on schedules and hours of operation, please contact the facility directly. Additionally, all Denver Recreation Centers will be closed on Sunday, March 31, 2024, in observance of Easter.
