"Miserable experience insuring my mountain property - had a good agent for two years, but as far as I can tell they left the firm. Was contacted by a person I never heard from before concerning renewal last fall and the communication has been bad to say the least. Emails usually contain minimal information and I have to request for attachment of full documentation around inspections and quotes; agent fails to communicate where quotes will come from after requesting them(AllState came in to my email from a random address after I requested they quote it multiple times.) Just seems lazy, will absolutely not be using this agency again and regret engaging with them for this cycle after my original agent left. Response to owner's comment: You did NOT provide strong advise against exploring other carriers. After my original agent left I was contacted out of the blue by a new agent whom I was initially quite confused given their email signature indicated a different insurance agency than 1st American. Overall communication from agent was AWFUL - questions were not responded to in a timely manner nor on the first request, the entire thing felt passive aggressive and was a complete 180 from my prior experiences. Cannot recommend this agency whatsoever; steer clear."
